Well said b0rsuk (other than missing that FE is already a standalone game). Hopefully FE will turn out differently.

Why aren't they on my computer? I find all of those effects and animations distracting.
Most of those make sense to me but I was surprised at "rockyou" being so high on the list. I wonder why that is so popular.
Yeah, there were a lot of things that were advertised on the forums that never got into the game. Unfortunatly, its not just a missing feature or two that makes Elemental the disaster that it is. This game still isn't what it should have been on day one. The original GC2 was better and I was expecting Elemental to be at least on par at launch.
What does this have to do with 1.1? I haven't played the betas. The only thing I noticed is that shards now generate mana. Is that all 1.1 has to offer?
I didn't care much for the trailer since it was merely a cinematic but I'm excited to hear the game has a release date.
Elemental is sitting on my hard drive at version 1.06. It sounds like the core experience hasn't improved yet. Let's keep waiting...
Great thanks. I'll be looking into that later this week. I know Europeans have to deal with it all the time but was the publisher thinking releasing the game so much later in the US. That can't be good for business!
Two worlds 2 looks interesting. I thought it was only out in Europe. How did you get it? Gamersgate says "Not available in North America and UK. Release dates for those territories are to be decided."
Not worth it yet. Give it at least a month then come back and ask us.

No pop-ups please. How about a glowing outline around the city on the empire tree or something similar. Serves the same purpose without being intrusive.
[quote who="Mandelik" reply="3" id="2821611"]Dear derek I am sure that you will find here (see link: an official thread!) everything you are looking for. No need for contests when you've got at your disposal such a mine of ideas/suggestions/lists/mechanisms as this forum. It's becoming tiring to see Stardock wanting to look cool by asking time and again the same things. STOP ASKING! You've got all the cards in your hands; now create the game or throw the towel, the
[quote quoting="post"] Nope. That obviously isn't going to work. That must be why the points were commented out. But why weren't they deleted when they clearly don't work? I hate that. The developer who wrote the original ZOC code hasn't worked here for over 5 years, so there is no target for my crankiness. I commented out those lines again in case I needed them for reference and stared at the edge calculation co
I couldn't believe it when I first heard Elemental wouldn't have races in the same way MOM or MOO does. Despite it being "the lore" I have a feeling this has to do with the art budget. If you look at Elemental there just aren't very many different models in it. I still secretly hope that Stardock will scrap the lore and just start over with unique races like MOM or any other great fantasy TBS.
Demigod can be really fun in singleplayer although the AI will never match a human opponent. I'd say its worth it for 6 bucks. Demigod could have been a smash hit if it wasn't for some technical issues with multiplayer at launch.
Best to wait until 1.1 at least (release date is "Octoberish"). The game still needs a lot of work but has a lot of potential.
After reading this list I am looking forward to playing Elemental again when patch 1.1 comes out. I haven't played since 1.06 since most of the changes have been performance related and I never had too many issues in that department anyway. Hopefully this will be a step in the right direction.
I haven't played since 1.06. I had some fun with the game when it first came out but after a while you realize there are too many problems to make this game worth playing. I've been monitoring the forums and I can see most of the problems I had with the game haven't been fixed yet. I'm not sure that 1.1 will fix them either. Stardock is going to fix things eventually but at the current pace it may take a year or so. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
I've been playing this for the past few weeks and really enjoying it. The best part is that you can make hybrid classes by choosing from various subclass. The dynamic event system is great and really puts some pressure on you to complete 'just one more quest.'
I think what the magic system is really missing is the power of HEART
I would wait. Some are saying that it will be worth it in the long run. If that's the case then why not wait until the game is improved? The game is not getting any more expensive than it is today. Wait for Civ 5 and check back in a few months. That's what I would have done if I hadn't preordered already.
Like many others, this review rings true for me. I feel ripped off for $50. This is a $20 game, which is not what I expected based on my previous experience with Stardock. I'm hanging on to it in the hopes that it will become a $50 down the line. I don't see that happening for a few months from now at least. It's sad to see Elemental alongside the ranks of games like South Park: Chef's Luv Shack .
Most reviewers are reviewing 1.06 and say so in their reviews. I mostly agree with what's been said. Gameshark: "The world is generic..." "A fireball does less damage than your average sword..." "The tactical battles are never very interesting because so many of the units are basic melee guys and you will have run roughshod over the map before you get to anything interesting. If you use the auto-resolve, the attack rating will be all you need to
