Haha. Thanks. Alhtough still lacks some information (yeah, global resources are coming, I promise) and I feel like some kind of new format (for the information, no eye candy related) may be needed. Still trying to figure one though. Being distracted doesn't help. I wonder why I have been distracted...
You should be on the credits of the game. 'nuff said.

If only I could write in english as I can write in my native language :(
I'm reading a book about Clausewitz and the book he wrote about war. What would be usefull for the gam eis : First you have goal and ways. Then you have goals and ways. Last you have goals and ways. In fact Politic is the topmost "thinker". Politic choose the strategic goal. In game etrm it could be "how to win the game ?" Then to win the game you choose a way to do it : you want a military victory, but you can choose to get an edge in magic or civilization or etc. But your go

The question is where best to put this content. I could spend a year just making quests where each quest is its own adventure unto itself. But obviously doing that sort of thing means I'm not working on something else. Those ar
And it isn't related to the watchtower I think, because it happens even in towns without a watchtower.
@the best You say that you already know how to use triggers, so you know how to use conditionnal thinking. Do you know how to use variables ? How to use functions ? How to create functions ? Create classes ? etc. How to learn python PS: If you want to do hard things, like a total conversion mod, you'll need to learn object-oriented programming. (I didn't see if you can code new even
The Elemental trailer felt kinda dead to me. Between the horrendous voice-over, the lack of real emotion, and static imagery it just fails for me. You need to excite people - they are about to lead armies crusading across the land conquering their foes. Setting up trading empires, and conducting deep comprehensive diplomacy. Sending Heroes out in search of lost treasures, and gathering groups of adventurers out to raid lost tombs. You are the very symbol of your nation. If you should f
Will the engine be flexible enough to create boardgames ? (like chess, go, or Twilight Imperium 3)
I have a lot of modding exp with triggers and mapping, not so much with code and most everything else. Is there a place for me in Python?
Yes, but you'll have a lot of things to learn. Not so hard, but some serious programming skills. (OOP is a good thing to learn)
If you need information on something, don't forget to mouse over the icon. You can now see the calculation of stats.
Did you use some essence to build cities or in a quest ? Essence is not only used to revive land, but also is your max mana cap.
In fact after being out of the sewers (the first time) you could get to the market and to the old woman that would give you som equest to get some paper. Each quest had a meaning : you learned things like patience, or what you see isn't always what is real, etc (i don't remmeber exactly what it was about, just the fact that it was very well done). That's the only time in an RPG where you actually have to create your first parchment to learn how to use it. And the fact you don't rememb
I was remembering the good old days of planescape torment. And the "tutorial" for learning magic. That is the best tuto I've ever see. It didn't seemed to be a tuto at all.
I would like a tutorial that would be a story in itself. Something like "how that channeller got that powers" or "The childhood of Curgen".
It's far from interesting because devs are only creating the plumbing needed for the game. You'll have plenty useful techs in all paths at release. But for now they need to focus on empire building to know if everything can work right, not gameplay-wise but crash-wise. It's not at all a game for now (even if a little funny to play). And devs already stated that there will be drastic changes in the gameplay when all the plumbing will be done.
On the info card the info is correct.
@Bretoniac : Ys it should be like that. But ! The game as already some flesh. Rotten and poisoned flesh, but still flesh. So some, like myself, are enjoying the beta right now. But I'm well aware that any gameplay element can change drastically. So for now I'll just test the beta, trying to make it crash.
I got a new hero Viy. Created an army Sov (tarth) + Viy. Go near Spider nest. Spider queen attacks. Viy is dead. Next turn I see that the portrait of Viy in the upper left of the screen is still there. When I select it I can see a selection square where the battle occurs. When I double clicked the tiny portrait in the upper left the game CTD. D

No. I can't care less about multiplayer, probably will never play MP with Elemental. I usually don't care about multiplayer, because I'm just a weak player in most str
Is it planned to be able to create artifacts/items/etc ? (choosing a place : helmet, shield, armor, ring, etc. then modifiers/skills)
It's the same with weapons that give 0.25 atk speed, but it's rounded down to 0 in the info card.

But for quests it can be interesting to get popups : in king's arthur the roleplaying wargame the quests really add something strong to the game. You really feel more involved in it.
I also got that one often. What I found is that if you put a unit in the city, it will get the right LOS back. Just send a unit out, then let it enter the city. It usually works.
No one mentionned Planescape torment intro ?
