If the purpose of your invasion of Ermor is to look for virgin women, I think you will be disappointed. After last month's orgiastic harvest festival in honour of Hef, I'm not sure that we have any more.

Quick, everyone take Pangea's territories in the next three hours -- he won't be able to defend himself! Um, so while we wait... I'm curious what wars are being fought at this time. Obviously, Ermor and Lanka will be at it in the next few turns (as soon as our NAP-3 expires). Tien'Chi is mopping up Arco and Marverni is doing the same to Abysia. Am I missing any? Agartha seems to be very quiet -- has he fought anyone else yet?
Newbie question #1323523: Let's say that I have a territory in which I have several active gem sites which I discovered by searching. The territory is invaded by, oh, I don't know, filthy carnivorous poo-flinging monkey people. If the monkeys succeed in taking this territory from me, are the gem sites visible to them or do they have to perform their own searches in order to find them?
A sad state of affairs, to be sure, but your lands will be put to good use, this I swear to you. Even after we take your capital from you, we will honour your monkey god by displaying him alive in our zoo. Ermorian children will throw peanuts at him and laugh.
Never mind that, would you like to buy a replica Rolex?
Could all of you send me your email addresses? Once I have all of them I will send a PM to each of you containing all of them, linked to the nation they play. Should make my attempts to conquer you all diplomacy much easier than using Stardock PM's. Please do not post the email addresses here, lest you become a target of spambots.
Going by the score table, I wouldn't call it a losing position. http://www.llamaserver.net/showScores.cgi?game=Elementalists Only six territories, but three of them are fortresses. More research than most of us combined. Middling income, dominion and army size. At the very least, it does not seem like they will be destroyed in the next two days...
That was very useful, thank you.
When I cast Communion Master/Slave there doesn't appear to be any indication that the spell is taking effect, other than the "Zubzub has cast Communion Slave" text at the top left of the screen. It's supposed to increase your master's magic paths based on the number of slaves but there is no difference that I can see. Is this normal or am I doing it wrong? I am casting master and slave at the same time, if that matters.
Yes, that was very good, sir. Well, Arco has less than three hours to submit their turn. He has been consistently good so far, but he also mentioned intermittent access before we started. Perhaps we should pause the game so he can get his turn in?
Morrowind... The only game where I set my goal as collecting all the spoons of the game for me... I stole so many spoons just for the glory to collect them all ! I assure you that nothing beats collecting spoons, not even catching pokemons !!!!
Grrrrr! I made it my goal to drink all of the soup in the land of Morrowind, Do you know how bloody difficult that was to do with you stealing all of the spoons?
Sorry, was not trying to rush you. I just thought you might have forgotten to send your 2H or something, since you were just online. In fact I think this game is progressing quite nicely. Most days we are getting two moves in; that's got to be above average for this game. Thank you to everyone for keeping the pace up!
Although its graphics are functional, I agree they are not pretty. It's best to think of Dom 3 as being like Dwarf Fortress or Nethack. The beauty is all under the hood.
Missed a part of your question. Spell school is separate from magic path. All schools start at level 0 and can go up to 8 or something like that. You control how much research goes into each school. So, for example, since I have Flamen (pronounced Fame-On! a la Human Torch, by the way) and they are focused on fire, I might want to focus my research on the school of Evocation, which has stuff like Fireball in it. There is actually a free demo, you know. I would advise y
You choose the magic paths of your Pretender god, which is more or less analogous to choosing the spellbooks in Master of Magic. You also choose the "scales" that effect your god's dominion (ie very cold, lazy, pro-magic, people drop dead a lot) and the magnitude of the dominion itself. The Pretender is different from your nation however. The nation is locked in w.r.t. magical paths, though there is some randomness with some mages. For example, as you can see, my Flamen are fire-f
Ah, I was wondering what that crown was for, thanks. Question: if a guy stacked with items gets whacked in a friendly province and I still control the province after, do I get all those items back? Similarly, if one of my Augur Elders dies of old age while researching, do I get to keep his gems and Skull Mentor etc? By the way, Hinnom, we are currently waiting for your turn submission.
Ah, OK. Well, I did fight a major battle this past turn against a very strong indie province. Blood druids with hundreds of blood slaves and giant mobile ferns of some sort. I think it was supposed to be a challenging battle, but my troops dispatched them fairly easily.
According to the score chart I have gained a victory point. Which is great, except I have no idea how. Anybody know how one earns these? Presumably Hinnom gained its VP for taking out Yomi, but I have nothing like that to take credit for.
Are my prices too high? Honestly, I have no idea, being a newbie and all. I guess make me a better offer and I will see if it is worth my while.
That's a very clever move, ghostwes. I wonder if anyone will take you up on the offer.
Oh, of course... in fact, I have already had a few enquiries. Don't bother asking who. "Discretion" is my middle name. That and "Big Savings".
Ermor is pleased to announce that our magic item factory is now open for business. Jealous of your neighbour's mighty Doom Glaive? Want to impress an attractive Jade Sorceress with a shiny Pendant of Luck? My tentative and negotiable cost for each item will be: 1) First of all, we must be at peace. If I feel threatened by you, no deal. If you agree that I make any items for you, it comes with it a built-in NAP-3. 2) 150 per cent of the item cost in gems, p
It's a shame you can't see the private messages. Some serious diplomacy goes on outside of prying eyes.
With all due respect, I think we probably shouldn't be posting stats like this. I'm not really much of a role-player -- at least where this particular game is concerned -- but posting stats sort of removes a lot of the magic under the hood for me, if that makes sense. I'd rather read his stats when/if I enter battle with him. More challenging, realistic and fair that way. I dunno, if no one else has a problem with it, go for it I guess. <
Ermor has met a fellow empire on the fields of battle and emerged victorious. Unfortunately, that was not our intention, alas. A large force of militiamen, led by Pangea, attacked us just as we liberated a province on our southern border. As they were just militia men, such as the ones we had just dispatched, my troops thought they were reinforcements of some sort and pressed their attack. None looked particularly... Pangean, it must be said. (We are not sure what Pangeans look like,
Is there some advantage to invading the sea? I would think it would be mostly useless since we don't have any aquatic nations playing. What's the point? Is the income good? Gem sites? How did the battle between Hinnom and Lanka go?
