If you have an unlimited storage capacity it might be good idea to have npc merchants or somthing you can sell excess stuff to. For example in a really long game where you have a resource you dont use, you could end up with a massive useless stockpile. Also this could go into more depth, for example if you kept selling him horses, it could drive the price of horses down, and if other people buy horses from him the price may rise etc. Creating a market independent of direc

Personally i like the idea of not having horses meaning i cant build horses. I like how it works in civ 4, encourages you to work with what youve got, forcing you to do somthing different to the last game. Its very easy in these kind of games to develop a certain way of playing that quickly makes replaying boring. So long as you dont end up with no special resources at all then youre never screwed. Hopefully the maps will be generated in such a way that if you dont have horses
Looks good, cant wait to try it out. I think ill have to in order to understand it fully. As for the resources, do you have an income and an amount stored or just an income? Or is it seperate for perishable(food) and nonperishable(materials)?
I do like the idea of semi/un-controllable super summons. Although they wouldnt have to spells they could come from quests etc too. Big monsters are cool, and there's the "oh crap" factor if it starts to head back to your own lands. Limited forms of control for unique summons would be interesting, like maybe some quest where you find some cursed artifact. The artifact then summons some two headed ten armed giant god of destruction type thing half the map away. The an
Strange to be this obvious though, almost as if it's deliberate... [e digicons]*_*[/e] ...It's a trap!!
I really like the idea of making food global, so long as it’s on the trade network. It would also make food fairly simple to trade with other players if need be

Maybe they should just rename the spell to 'summon troll' :P

I look forward to seeing this Major update! I wont say how im going to vote untill i see it, because that would be very silly wouldnt it! [e digicons]:d[/e]
Some are blatantly stolen, but then all the best quotes are :) "It burns! It burns!" "Be vewy vewy quiet..." " How hard can it be?" "Stand your ground!" "To the last man!" "Keep
I suppose it's just Human nature in some people to pick a side and forsake all others regardless of logic. Just look at Religion/Politics/Football Teams etc. Im sure steam get their share of unbased negative comments, ive seen lots (especially on these forums) I have steam & impulse, no problems with either.
First off (and kind of irelevent) you call that [e digicons]:pig:[/e] hot? Sexual relationships need to be on an even footing mentally otherwise all sorts of manipulation/mindwarping/advantage taking can take place. There is a BIG difference mentally between a 14 year old and a 20somthing year old. The fact that most 14 year old boys would be gagging for it immediatly puts them at a disadvantage to be manipulated by an older/wiser predator. Yes im sure some tur
Sailor - Bonus to naval combat or ship building. Alchemist - Some potion bonus. Artist/Sculpter - Bonus prestige. Beggar - Start with a random magical item or companion, (lucky coin or a pet rat etc)
Tactical Battle Options would include: OFF Only human vs. Human Battles ON We will also have a Tactical Battle Threshold for minimum battle rating necessary to turn it into a tactical battle (ranging from 0 to 1000). You may not want a tactical battle of two soldiers but you might want a tactical battle when it’s two grand armies.
This looks like a good idea for tactical battles, but it just reminded me of somthing else
Simultaneous turns are good for this kind of game, atleast they work well for Civ4. Time limits are good for if youre playing with random people so I can see why youd want it. Personally though i will mostly be playing with real life friends where people may have to go afk, or just be learning the game and so need a longer time. So i would really like the option to turn it off in the options when setting up a game. Lots of options i think is the key to
Invisible friend - (prereq Insane?) Chance to be given 'special' quests/tasks with unique/no rewards.
Not sure if some of these are advantages or weaknesses, apologies if some of them are just plain stupid :) 'Wildmagic' - where some spells occasionaly have weird effects. One time a fireball might Do double damage, or instead summon an army of chickens... maybe tying this in with the 'insane' trait would be good :) 'Stealthy' - When traveling alone the soveriegn is invisible/hard to find on the world map 'Lich' - The soveriegn is undead, giving resistances to deat

- Trolls that were massive and awsome and got up after being killed, not just some rubbish 5% health regen.
Ill be buying both no question, well technically ill only be buying Civ as ive already bought Elemental :) The only question is which to play first if they come out the same day! I think it will depend if i'm playing by myself or with friends, the civ games dont tend to hold my interest as much anymore as single player, so ill probably dive straight into multiplayer. With Elemental ill probably want to hit the single player as there will be more 'new' things to try out before
This surprised me. I just got my disk about a week ago and I am smitten. I have played 10% of this game so far, according to the in-game documentary, and I have spent 24 hours of non-stop enjoyment so far on it. I am talking about the RPG Dragon Age: Origins. You should understand that I am not a Bioware fanboy, although I DID really enjoy Baldur's Gate 2. I despised Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale and have not played a Bioware game since. Boy a

Ah that's a shame, i loved my Trolls and their overpowered regen [e digicons]O:)[/e] I can see how it wouldnt fit with the lore though, might be an idea for an expansion once the world is full of magic again or somthing.
Hi, I know there are variosu factions in this game but i havent read or seen anything about different races, do the factions represent different races? For example on MoM you could be Elves, Lizard men, Trolls (my favourite) etc each with racial advantages and units. Cheers,
