Like all cool online games, after the first few weeks of good games it gets ruined by the chumps after their rankings... Although it was a bit of an oversight on the developers part not to give a loss to people disconnecting at the last minute. Online=Ruined. Still there's still single player and MP campaign with friends :)

Played every total war game except Napoleon, and to be honest i wasn't holding my breath for this. But... Shogun 2 is the best one yet. I love how it just seems to have all the atmosphere of the original. The ninja cutscenes take me back to good times [e digicons]:')[/e] I also love the MP campaign, and avatar conquest, this is a game i can actually win at online!
Quoting Wizaerd, reply 50 Here's a new and innovative idea for MP... Leave it out altogether!! That'd suit me just fine. With how badly its supported in EWoM, that probably would have been preferable. Then people who wanted an MP game would have known ahead of time to look elsewhere.
Agreed. It would have saved me wasting my time here. The fr
The PC's almost have to be immune, as it becomes a 1 hit-game over scenario. I'm still looking forward to the game, and I hope it's at least half as emotionally wrenching as the trailer posted above. It's that sinking feeling when someone in a zombie film gets bitten, that even if theyre not dead, that's it they're buggered and there's

It seems multiplayer modes the same as single player are becoming a bit of a lost art. Killed by the need for balance & anti griefing and quick games for online play. Noone cares about us that play with friends, that dont need these things. [e digicons]X([/e] I guess its because we're a minority now.

The thing that worries me is a 'Rule' ive noticed in the past. A game designer will knock out 1 or 2 really good games, They'll then start going on about various rules, tricks and whatnots of what makes 'good games design' Then every game they make starts to be a big pile of poo. :D Hope you break that Rule! :)

Hi, Thats one big changelist! :) Any news on when sandbox multiplayer will be in? (tactical battles and all the same stuff as single player etc) My GF and I wanted to do our first play through in MP together so we havent actually played it yet. (well i played a little in beta) I understand single player is your focus at the moment (and the changes are encouraging), just wondering when i should check back. Cheers,

Ooh, should be good. Although i hope they change the leveling up system, i didnt like how it worked in morrowind & oblivion. Somthing like Fallouts would be fine. I prefer getting skills from leveling than getting levels from skilling, as its open to abuse, and i just cant help myself.

They could do a separate ladder for people that play for fun where your rank was kept hidden from you. That way it could still match you up with equally skilled players, whilst having no incentive for the 'Ranking-up-chumps'. But yes in general playing with friends/friendly comunities is the way to go, as it really is hard to work around the chump factor without limiting the game. This is why i was against Elementals multiplayer trying to be competitive based, it just can
