Hi, A while back it was mentioned that a way to upgrade to from the standard pre order to the lmited edition pre order would come 'Soon' Has this happened yet? I havent seen anything yet but i wanted to be sure i haven't missed somthing.
Oh...I just used those pictures in the OP as examples...this topic is not about trolls at all.
Well it should be!
Utopia - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f2NiqpDLp0 (in italian but still the music is awesome) Cannon Fodder - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYuq6Ac3a0 Im also pretty fond of - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAgEPCltF2Q :)
What are you going to do if Calvin dies? Will another soldier take over the AAR? :) I like to name my soldiers after people i know, that way if they die i get to tell that person about their horrific grizzley end. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
Trolls as playable race please! Failing that... This please!
You never know it might be awesome. Made for xbox and (probably badly ported onto) PC No really it... might... ... ... [e digicons]:'([/e]
I often dont agree with my friends over what's a good/bad game, why would i agree with some random guy on the internet that couldnt (or wouldnt) get a real job :p Most reviewers these days are more interested in being funny than writing informative reviews. As for review scores, completely pointless for most parts of a game as theyre a matter of opinion, the only parts that should be rated in scores should be things like stability & buggyness.
You know what i miss from being younger? Being able to go into a shop that sold computer games, having a look around, finding a game that id never heard of before. Looking at the screenshots on the back, thinking it looked cool. Reading the features, thinking it sound cool. Deciding to buy it with saved up money. Getting it home playing it, and discovering it was amazing and playing it for months straight. That doesnt happen anymore. Getting older and wiser has its disadvantag
We're hoping our writing team can come up with a great word that stands for 'Turn' but doesnt conform to any preconceived notion of 'time' (Cycle, Phase, Rotation...something list that, only good).
Might be an idea to base it on somthing in the world that takes a set amount of time, but we as players dont know how long that is. Like a Moons orbit a Tidal shift or Arcane pulses from crystals or somthing
I can definitely see why a lot of people don't like the traditional End Game or Mop Up phases of games. After a while, when the winner is clear, it gets boring. But... There are some people out there (like me) who rather enjoy the end game phase. Playing the game and getting to the "I Win" ending is the challenge and fun of these games. Being more powerful then the other Empires on the map, is the reward for being a great playe
I really like the Global resources so far, and when the new road system is in and the seiges cutting off resources system is in im hoping it will be even better. The good thing about the global resources is there's lots of options to add little simple systems here and there to make it more 'realistic' There's plenty of beta to go yet. :)
Elementals art style has really grown on me, i love that picture.
Just noticed this has gone a little off topic, we're all supposed to be saying how much we hate GFWL! :p
Having shamans and paladins available to both sides is in the better interest of game balance. It also allows them to be distinct classes with their own flavor since they no longer need to completely counter each other.
It's also really boring. :p They made undeads into humanoids because it was to hard to balance. That's the main problem with multiplayer games. It's very hard to balance perfectly and keep things int
Created "the Dark Concoction" Quest I like the sound of this one!
Haha yes you got me, good april fools, now give me the beta. Give iiiiiiiiiit. *sobs quietly* But seriously, if you dont think its ready for beta 2 yet then thats fair enough.
My presonal preference would be. 1st - Multiplayer lan - I Mostly like to play these games with people i know, its more fun beating somone if you know you can also remind them of their crushing defeat in a weeks time. Also you can develop house rules and a style of play that suits you all much easier. 2nd - Single player - For when im on my own, and i want to practice and try out different ways of crushing my friends. 3rd - Online - I might try it online, but i expect
In Master of Magic i remember there being a cool spell. I cant remember exactly what it was called but it was a permenent enchantment that warped a unit to randomly give it wings, firebreath or armour. Well i was thinking, wouldnt it be cool to cast a spell like that on your children? I dont just mean in real life, it could also work pretty well in Elemental. This is kind of similar to my special spouse idea i suppose but coming from a different angle, and theres
Well id imagine it would have to be humanoid creatures only inorder to fit the game engine, so maybe dragons, slugs, and my ten armed troll suggestion are perhaps a little too extreme... although awesome. But maybe things like normal 2 armed trolls(im not obsessed!) so your kid comes out green and ugly, with some regeneration and extra strength. Also maybe humanoid demons or celestials, or their Elemental lore equivelents. Or maybe just a normal person with a s
I think a mix of both is best. They should be both fundamentally different and there should be weaknesses/resistances to types.
@OP Bah, here i was thinking i had gradually become more and more awesome at games and you go and ruin it. I think it started to happen as 'rules' for game design have started to develop. 'Must always be somthing new an interesting to keep the player hooked every few minutes' - Hard to do that if youre stuck on the same level for hours. Game design rules are poo. Having said that, i dont mind easy games once in a while, it's kind of like watching a brainless ac
Bet she gives great backrubs!
Any chance of an addtional slot for special effects on enchanted weapons that arnt damage types? For weapons things like. Life stealing Paralysis Cause confusion Damage over time effects (poison, fire etc) And for equipments things like Regeneration Haste Invisibility Flying Or would this be completley seperate? Edit: Nvm the haste one, didnt see the Combat
Seeing as your children take up traits of their parents in this game wouldnt it be interesting if it was possible to marry rare/powerful creatures through special rare quests? This could result in some very unique and powerful offspring. If too powerful you could limit it to having one child before the creature goes on its way, perhaps even illegitimate if youre already married etc. In short, i want a two headed, ten armed, half troll son!
