[e digicons][/e] The set-up suggestion is great and Cardinaldirection's suggestion is even better.

Let me just say I have taken a liking to Wraiths. The undeadiness has appealed to me from day one. I'm sure there are a lot of threads about how hit points were overpowered in previous versions, that I haven't read, but I do know that starting as a Wraith sovereign (and Amarian, I guess) has become very hard. Most mobs I encounter near my first city are able to two-shot me. If I have the misfortune to also meet a Wraith (or Amarian, again) as my first champion, I am in

I don't know about the tutorial, but if you play Civ you should have no problem grasping the concepts of this game. 4x, city management, and diplomacy won't be new concepts for you. In addition you get tactical combat (played Master of Magic?) and quests. A love for the fantasy genre is probably also needed.
True, but they could both be specializations of the same path.
I've never seen a warrior being able to chose the defensive and army-wide buff traits the defender can pick. Conversely, I've had my defenders being able to pick an offensive trait only a few times. I must say I haven't played any of the classes beyond 15-ish, so maybe they align somewhere beyond that.

I can't see how a warrior and a defender are similar in any way: One picks from offensive traits and one from defensive traits. They are also used very differently. At least when I play them. About the taunting: Taunt would remove a part of the tactical battles that I enjoy. It's all about getting your defender up in front, in the path of the attackers. Attackers will attack the closest enemy, if they can't reach another one, so if your defender sits right in

In a newly started game I cast Propaganda on my first city. It had three essence, so I should get three Gildar from Propaganda. At 40% tax rate I got +2 Gildar (from the village) +3 Gildar (from Propaganda) *40%= 2 Gildar. At 0% tax rate I got nothing. This would indicate that Propaganda is taxable. Something which the spell description doesn't mention.

When I quit to main menu to start a new game, I only see the standard sovereigns. That is, the Stormworld and custom sovereigns are gone. Any ideas? Very nice mod, btw.

The armies are often so similar, that you can't tell how many there are, though, so your point is still valid. Some sort of numbering or perhaps a window that showed all armies would be nice

IMO, you should always be able to initiate talks with another sovereign you have met. Sometimes you need to leave trade to check your ledger or foreign affairs screen. You can also not tell them to leave your territory, thereby having them prance right through your lands to settle on the other side. And, of course, the inability to declare war, as mentioned. Outposts within city borders seem to somehow lose their upgrades. I can keep building the same upgrade on the same outpost (within a city) and it doesn't display in the "Upgrade Outpost" window. Also, units stationed in the city don't get the attack/defence bonus from Armory/Fortify upgrades. Edit: Consulates don't work, either, and the outpost cannot be razed.

...or just a cold-hearted mercenary for killing a peace-loving Garrote (some sort of yeti), living in a tree house with the animals of the forest, minding his own business, far off the beaten track of man? And why did I not get an option to let him live?

^ Maybe it's 0.980.1, maybe 0.98b. I don't think it differs from 0.98 in this matter. I'll change the heading to not confuse things. Has no one had this issue?
