A prob is that Brad repeated that statement to another customer right here on this very forum. So probably more rage is coming your way. But the guy over at PC Gamer showed a more apropriate way to deal with this statement when he stated that he'd rather not buy SD games on release day but a few months later than not buying them at all.
as if the reviewer had some sort of axe to grind with Brad.
Do you really believe he would advertise buying future games or this game a few months after the initial realease instead of not buying them at all if this was the case? The technical bit about the white screen however seems to be something related to his rig since most people seem to be able to see what's going on on the battle screen.

I see your point Mivo. But this is how the gaming industry has worked for the last decades, I'd say. Companies release a game, give copies to the reviewing game magazines and those along with players publish their reviews and hence build a good or bad reputation for the product. If a game company chooses to release a game that reaches the state it should have had out of the box in maybe 4 to 6 weeks it doesn't matter that it will. The damage is done on day one... Maybe nowaday

That the devs -trying to put in so many ideas at once- get lost in the details and therefore forget about the essentials things. ;) As usual it's quite nice to see how quickly the SD staff is putting people's feedback to good use. :) My other concern that hug
I agree user created maps are not a fix for not having random maps
YOU BET! I think everyone agrees that it's almost impossible nowadays to release a product that isn't suffering from bugs or imbalances out of the box. Especially if it's designed to provide fun and gameplay for -as Froggy stated- ages. So a lot of things that pop up here already and will pop up later when people are playing for a while might be quite understandable and pose minor

Hmm, maybe because having to DL ~2 GB (if I've read correctly) if you get a bad connection that leaves you with say 30KB/s download speed really sux? Just a thought... ;) I saw the boxed version on amazon.com the other day and thought about purchasing it. But now after reading several threads about bugs and an obviously pretty let's put it politely and say "lacking" pdf manual I'm gonna wait at least three patches and a well filled wiki o

I know you're trying to be helpful and all, BUT:
1) Network cable could be bad to your PC.
Yeah, right! I've been all across the galaxy, and I've seen a lot of weird shit. Hehehe... Yeah, I'd like to to have Wild Magic surges too. But I didn't want to take the whole suggestion too far off. ;)

No, of course not. But it provided a good boost to your spell casting ability in terms of mana points per turn. And if you wanted to cast more mana consuming spells you definitely were better off owning those nodes sooner or later.

I'm not here all too often or long so please don't gang bang me if this was already suggested and/or decided to be an idiotic approach or it's already been implemented. I would really like to see a certain chance for spells to go awry or backfire depending on the spell's level compared to the caster's "competence"? Or due to special effects of the caster's surroundings (remember that spells near elemental nodes in MoM often failed?) In another thread I've already stated that e

Hound, in MoM it was pretty much the same with nodes. Either you got lucky and started near a node that related to your prefered type of magic or it was leagues away. One possible solution could be that at least ONE not overly hard guarded shard of your prefered type is located close to you and other shards simply add to your essence. OR picking up your idea: After you have conquered ONE shard the level of defense on the other shards' locations scales upwards.

Yeah right. How about DMRM (Draconic Magical Rights Management) on spells you trade with allied Sovereigns? They can learn spells from you but they can only teach them to two of their wizards at a time. And if another wiz wants to learn the spell one of the other two has to call-, and have it erased from memory by you. Also the other sov don't own the spells but just a revokable license to use them for which he has to pay annual fees. [e digicons]}:)[/e]
