To the OP's point... there are 100,000 of us that would have bought LH but we didn't because it was free. In addition, Stardock is no longer selling via retail channels. FE was a good game and got decent reviews, but did not generate a lot of sales. Unfortunately, LH will suffer the same fate and Stardock may think that there's not enough money here to warrant future expansions. Besides, I'm sure the Dev team is sick of the Elemental universe and

I think it's just a lazy oversight. I once asked Derek about having the specialized weaponry available on the sovereign selection screen when you choose a faction trait like you mentioned and he basically told me to go take a flying flip at a rolling donut. So good luck with this one!

I think there are lots of good hero types because there are so many possible combinations. They did a great job on this aspect. Here are some types that I have found the most fun or powerful: a ) Summoner - unlike others in this thread, I have had great success with Summoner and choosing all the summons. What's great about Summoning is that you can create a permanent summon by using the strategic spells (i.e. Air Elementals make great permanent summons)

Dear Fuzzy, You are AMAZING! Unfortunately, the game scores are a little suspect. That's probably why we don't have an HOF shipping with the game.

I would apply the same theories to "playing to win players" vs. "playing for the experience players" to my "cares about UI" vs. "doesn't care about UI" theories. You basically have 75% of the players just playing for fun. They don't really care about balance, etc., but the other 25% do care about balance. This is why if you address the balance issues then you please 100% of the people... get it? Same for the UI. If you please the 25% of the people w

It's very annoying that Tarth and Wildlands borders look the same. Pariden and Resoln looks the same. Umber and Kraxis looks the same. Capitar and Magnar looks the same. Not to mention if you want to make a custom faction... then they will also look the same. How tough is it to make two color borders like Civ V city-states or something? And don't get me started on the empire tree and event tree. We're only a week away from release!

OP, you just described my play style exactly. I play to win. I play till the bitter end. I play over and over trying to hone the perfect strategy.

I read in another thread that someone thought that Wither is a weak spell. Wither is not a weak spell with Resoln. With Resoln you can covert all your shards, and yes I mean all of them, to Death Magic. Then the Wither spell is reducing opponents attack by 18 or so. In other words, the opponents have 0 attack. Those are instant wins. You can definitely win with Resoln. That's just one of many strategies with them. Oh and about those

It's not easy, but the correct answer you're looking for was a link given to me by Parrottmath in this post. All other answers in this thread are bogus. https://forums.elementalgame.com/443628/page/1/#3350669

I really doubt Derek is going to take another seriously look at these skill trees before release so let's break it down really simple. 1. Mage is fine. 2. Warrior is fine. 3. Commander is fine. 4. Assassin needs a little work. All Assassins should get a second strike skill (like Tarth's double-strike) just for becoming Assassins. The dodge increases should be doubled. And as mentioned above it would b

For the record, I use Counterspell... but I get really pissed when it doesn't work (gets resisted). I think if we're going to waste a turn casting Counterspell then it should work. Or could get rid of it and encourage the use of Spell Leech and Feedback instead (make them more desirable to cast)... at least there's an extra reward with those spells besides just countering the spell.
