The first thing that comes to my mind is the coats of arms in King's Bounty: The Legend. At the start of the game, you choose a coat of arm. Anyway, this has very little to do with the discussion; All I'm saying is that I like the style of those arms. <img src="http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/2780/emblem3cv1.gif" alt=""

Spartan, you have mail. It can be hard to see on these forums, since there doesn't appear to be a big pop-up in your face, saying "You've got a PM! READ IT! ACHTUNG! NOW!" , which I prefer. Edit: And I don't at all mind having this thread, as long as you keep updating the original post. :p Edit: Aaaand here's a bunch of Fallen, as per request. Not entirely sure how they turned out, since I used a techni

I have tried to keep up on all the Q&A's and the previews but idk if i've caught them all. So can anyone tell me if different magic schools have been confirmed? I mean w

I'm not entirely sure that this belongs in the "Elemental Ideas" forum, but yes, I completely agree. Even though mine does fit. [quote who="GW Swicord" reply="7" id="1941264"]Because I have no self-control about digressions, I have to keep going about the bears. I wasn't talking about their domestication, but about their body mechanics. In evolutionary terms, bears are on a path with an option to become bipedal--horses aren't. Bears run on all fours, but they do a lot of their work, and I think their strongest fighting, while standing upright (or at least not bearing weight on their forequarters). They way
I remember a great many of them, but I've never played most of them, partly due to my age ('86, here) and partly due to the fact that I'm not a native english speaker (Sweden) and even though there's nothing wrong with my linguistics, it means I couldn't play these when I was 7 or 8, since I had yet to learn to read -any- language properly. I don't think I ever played Dragonlance, but I remember Eye of the Beholder fondly, as one of the greatest games ever. I didn't have any idea

Out of the AoW games, Shadow Magic, hands down.
Just to not completely de-rail this thread, I just want to add that I completely agree with GW Swicord 's original post, and dividing magic in particular into sub-schools at a certain point. Of course, the magic would still be based around Life Magic, but I'd be inclined to suggest the schools of Necrolytism (Good), Naturalis
I think that wheter you're Fallen or Human, it doesn't ENFORCE you to be "good" or "evil". They are just the two prime opposing parties, and even that can most likely be changed through diplomacy. I'm not sure if trying to play neutral will have any specific in-game effect (it's never been mentioned), but presumably you'd be able to utilize "half of this" and "half of that". Not that it'd concern me, since if I'm doing a druidic faction, we're talking the shadow druids on crack, emposing

It's even been mentioned in such ways that some people apparently got the idea that there's not going to be a sandbox mode. Which is, of course, hearsay and heresy! We're talking massive, global mayhem? Starfire As the sky catches fire, meteor burning flames comes crashing down through the atmosphere towards a huge game area, covering an enormous amount of land (or sea). All cities are basicly Alpha-Centauri-nuked, forests catches fires and are burnt to crisps, roads are destroyed, and thousands upon thousands, possibly millions, of people are incinerated. Entire armies are potentially destroyed; possibly even heroes if they
