1) I'd like there to be a mechanic that lets your soldiers or army simply take what they can carry. Just as an example, let's say that my army of 1000 soldiers (with +1 Flails of Fail) crushes an army of 300 soldiers (with +2 Axes of Win); An average of 150 of my surviving 1000 soldiers (for arguments sake, let's say all my soldiers survived) is now using +2 Axes of Win, instead of their previous equipment - thus increasing the average damage or attack of said soldiers. I don't understand the attachment some people have to elves, orcs, and the whole slew of incredibly, horribly generic fantasy creatures & races. I don't know, it could be that the prime of fantasy I've experienced myself was with David Eddings, and he uses none of the generic "Elves, Orcs, and Dragons". I for one welcome our new human overlords.
the History Channel today; History of the Channelers. I'm sorry, but I really have no idea where the channelers come from. My assumption is simply that the weave of magic is coming together again. I remember reading that magic itself was somehow crystallized and shattered by the war & the cataclysm. The ability to inherently channel magic, such as the Channelers do, may have been "commonplace" before - but as the magic was crystallized, it stopped flowing

They were then driven down underground
How could I've missed this? "People play campaigns in Dungeons & Dragons in the real world that last for years. We could do that with 64-bit. We couldn't do it with 32-bit because you can't make the landmass that big -- that's been a big memory limitation," he claimed. I wouldn't mind the occasional cave, but entire underground worlds feels overdone. It'd be more reminiscent of HoMM or any other half-TBS fantasy game in recent memory, than a Fantasy Civilization TBS.

Like Tamren said. There is no "Death" magic in Elemental. Death is simply an aspect of the life element. For those of you that have played Arcanum, I think it'll be somewhat like the two different aspects of necromancy. Both are still necromancy, but usable in wildly different ways. Draining the life out of someone is just another way to use life magic.
