This may be the first FF that I'll play in years. Is it going to be a sequel for anything, or is it completely stand-alone in it's "own" setting, as FF tends to be?

If one can rotate the screen, it makes only problems with orientation. And if you allow this, you must handle the extensive 3D graphic problems too and it does not have a any influence on a gameplay. Heroes V has this feature and I think it is useless there. It is better (and easier) to have a nice graphics from one side rather than from all sides.

The "turns" take place behind the screen. There's also supposedly going to be a pause option. Think.. tactical combat Baldur's Gate-ish. The turns are there, but it's not turn-based, it's real-time and with a pause option.

Alternately, it might be cool to have the color scheme seen be setup by player. Thus, I see my forces in blue and yours in red; you see mine in orange and yours in green. Seriously: how often do we say "look out for the blue army!" We usually refererence sides b

Doesn't the very fact that you failed in the prevention of the Diplomatic Victory of your enemy in fact prove that you are the inferior player, not the superior one? As you say, you may have been superior in other aspects of the game, but on a general scale, you failed . The problem with a mod like that is that you've effectively neutered a number of ways of winning and turned it into a quest for points. Mostly in favour of the Conquest Victory condition(s), obviously - the Di

Question! Question! Oh, oh, me, me! Question! Do we need to put walls around our cities? I've always preferred my cities wall-less, except maybe the inner courtyards or a keep. Or is it a 'building' like any other? The cities in my heartlands rarely have walls unless absolutely necessary. And no, anyone that's thinking about ever meeting me in a multiplayer match didn't just hear that.[quote who="Ynglaur" reply="7" id="2058003"]Maybe

Frogboy , if you see this and have the time to answer, I'd like to ask if the names of the nations are work-names or their actual names. You could type the thing you wish, and you get it. Immortality? Sure. A huge army standing in front of your castle? Hah, the fools, wish for reinforcements and you'll be granted hundreds of men. Low on resources? No problem. I just loved the freedom that spell gave you. ... That sounds like magical software to me.

No, artifacts should most definately not be destroyed. I'm a bit torn, however, between having the original hero keep the artifacts in "limbo" (having them returned when he is resurrected, if at all possible) and having the artifacts fall to the one that killed you.

Some stuff (like their slippers, or their trashcans) are just piecemeal crap that you use until they break, and then buy another one.
