I see. I have the say that the ground breaking additions sound nice but i'm not really a fan of battles with hundreds of units per side... that is, unless we're talking about Total War (Rome). Based on demo, i certainly didn't warm to the game... maybe with time, maybe not. Maybe i'm too much of a Starcraft (not-MP)player and i can't warm to it's rival (they're were rivals back then right?). Never really played Homeworld... tried the demo, or maybe the Cataclysm's demo once. Dunno. But i have HW2. It's... I don't play it much but i love it. Beatiful, very good music... maybe not the most balanced game and against AI it's pretty much making a mixed fleet and crushing them without any real strategy. Haven't played MP. Love the 3D space. SW Warlords mod was pretty funny.

OH MY GOD! I was reading the beta forum when i noticed: Beta Wave 2 has began or such. The poster said: No emails, just check the account. And i did. [Something incoherrent] What luck... i would have never expected to get in the beta. Opted in since it was a possibility... Partially i'm so excited (can be seen from OMG, i never really say that) because i'm tired and partially because i love Starcraft. Gotta invent a good name... See ya tomorrow maybe :P

Okay... what's so special in TA? Hear about it a lot, never "why" though. I downloaded the demo. ... I move around units that look identical and they shoot the enemies. I build some more units. The Commander has some sort super gun too and apparently it's peon unit too. And repeat. I've got no idea why i'm doing this (the story doesn't interest me at all). I have no idea what units do. Okay, they shoot different stuff but that's it pretty much. Sounds are horrible btw.

Okay... i'm VERY unimpressed. Actually, i'm very unimpressed with the whole Elemental world so far. Nothing that would put it above average fantasy. IMO. *shrug* as long as the game mechanics work and allow modding (adding skills, abilities, techs, features too, not just modifying existing stuff...). Maybe i shouldn't have pre-ordered the game but oh well.

Getting the computer back in a day would be nice but... I don't know a single repair shop in Helsinki. Though a Google search would probably solve that. And since it's still under warranty, taking the laptop to a repair shop sounds a bit stupid, how much do repairs even cost? An external drive is, at cheapest, roughly 50 euros. Yeah, it's under warranty. Problem is, i happen to need the computer, and i don't like idea of taking it to repairs, especially when i have no idea if the problem is a software or hardware one. If one RTS needs a sequel, that's Homerworld 2. Another "ain't gonna happen" case. I just read a rumour about C&C 4. The rumour claims the game will also have RPG features. I'd guess even more such features than WC3... But then C&C series have been pretty much failures after EA started making them. Starcraft 2 will be good storywise... I'd guess Othello wants to limit an inconsistent FPS. I locked Halo PC's FPS to 30 (a menu option, why can't all games have such?) because otherwise i'd get 60 in one moment and on the next its 45, 60, 50, 30, 32, etc... that's pretty darn irritating. Same with FO3... only that i can't lock the FPS. Vsync doesn't actually lock FPS to refresh rate... it maxes the FPS at that point. Didn't turning of Vsync cause "tearing"? IE the screen "splits"
