I like Vieuxchat's idea. I really want Dynasties back. At least they should be working so that mods can use them (or very moddable at very least).

Can we get the camera snap back for EWOM 1.3 please? It was great in GalCiv2 and i heard EFE is going to have that so...? Please.
wow... suddenly realize this forum is full of whiney bitchy spoiled brats/ Makes me wonder exactly how old some of the people posting negative posts are and if they've actually worked a day in their life or know what a good day of hard work tastes like.
That is partially because people expected E:WOM to be good but it was a total disaster (a fact, everyone admits and knows this, at least people should).
Anyways, to the OP, I know Derek has played a bit. All I can comment on in a positive light is that he likes the camera controls I put in WoM had the horrible problem of diorienting users with a too-freeform camera. We've re-enabled snapback by default (which we had in GC2) so you always come back to an oriented playing field.
Can we have that as a patch for EWOM? Please!
Save your criticism for 1.3. And please make it constructive. If something is not fun or imbalanced or feels wrong, express exactly why it is such.
You have to admit, the bolded part is hard to explain. eg: Some find making custom units fun, i don't. Why? *shrugs* I might be able to explain but in the end that's (or might be at least) really waste of time as that is very subjective. Wouldn't it be bett

That's the only interesting part in this game? It would be a good thing to have default units made for you. Then you could go and tweak them if you wanted. But designing them may be too much for new players.
I'm not the only one with this issue? Great. I mean... Impulse is slow to start and after it has started, it takes ages to connect (dunno where, Impulse servers?) and downloading something takes ages. Calculating download size..., come back five minutes later, still the same issue. I reinstalled EWOM some time ago and that DL size-calculation took 15+ minutes. And Impulse seems to be using a lot of system resources (CPU at least). Browsing stuff on Impulse isn'

I will try WoM again once 1.3 is out.
And how long will that take? EWOM works better on my laptop after the patch though not by much (and anytime a unit starts move the game slows down for a moment, managed to get caught in "misclick-loop" due this). Dropping the resolution a bit gave a lot more increase in performance though i have to admit i don
Yeah... RNG (no pun intended) should be better. Some civs could have more consonants, others could have more vowels etc. How about that one civ would use only names that both females and males use (the one with egalitarian trait, i mean, lack of gender specific names certainly would be egalitarion. In a way... there's nothing wrong with different names for genders (right?))
Portal... gaah... The internet goes nuts about it... Portal 2. Not getting it, not right away anyway. Does it have split-screen coop on Xbox 360? If it has, then i'll grab it when its cheap. Otherwise pass. Animations did seem to be good though... and the robot characters look funny. I guess that is good. Portal was fun but didn't have any replayability in my opinion... and is a bit overrated game overall.

A new system of game, constructing buildings and harvesting spice while avoiding sand worms !!! That was just everything !!! It just missed the feature of Emperor: Battle for Dune where you could ride sandworms ! Even if the feature was pretty badly implemented and Sandworms killed too easily. The story of the game th
Dune . The original, not Dune II (also know as Dune: Battle for Arrakis i think) nor Frank Herbert's Dune (2000-something?)(game, not the miniseries of course. Yes, i know, it is obvious and i am rambling). The CD version has some damn nice graphics, the musics in that game are among the best i've ever heard, the desing, the look is PERFECT. And it is adventure/RTS... Actually, on personal scale, i'd say it does fulf
That assassin trait looked cool so i picked it. Outlaw Connections wasn't too bad either... and Black Market Merchant was interesting concept though, IMO, it's pretty boring in the actual gameplay, just more money.
Still won't belive. If this stays up for a week, then i'll belive. I know some stuff said around the April Fools' Day is true but anything on the internet is not urgent and i can belive it later.
I belive this only if this is kept up for a week at least. Really. Sometimes April Fools' are just done very convincingly. I don't belive anything said beetween March 31-April 2...
Hot seat: Yes Otherwise: No though if my friend did have Elemental, maybe then... Playing a strategy game with random people over internet just ain't my thing (Shooters are fine of course).
Expansion announced... Is the console version still coming or what? The PC version lacks graphics settings and FPS being beetween 15-25 is unplayable.
Like the idea, very interested in the game, tried the demo. However... I meet the system requirements yet the game runs awfully, FPS never goes higher than 25 (and that's on 1024x768). And the game takes foreever to launch. The main menu lags a lot too. Shame that, i might've bought it if it worked well. And it is supposedly coming to Xbox Live. Maybe. IF it comes to Live AND offers same console multiplayer (not bothering with random people over Live), i will get it. But as it

Those who purchased in 2010? I assume that also includes 2009 pre-orders, right? Which reminds me, i think i read somewhere that TWO expansions would be free for pre-orders? True or what the hell i've been reading? Doesn't seem too ambitious expansion though, "more stuff" basically... Not that i'm complaining (free stuff after all). Until all consoles have large hard drives, digital distribution ain't going to replace retail discs. When 250GB hard drives are the standard.. maybe then. AFAIK, ATM those are pretty much minority still. When the next generation consoles arrive... I wouldn't be surprised if digital distribution would be standard method for buying games. ...I bet M$ will require Xbox Live Gold subscription to allow buying games from Live. No retail discs for most games... I have no idea whether
What about upcoming Magicka? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magicka There's been at least one trailer. Looks interesting.

I intend to play multiple playthroughs... and my first playthroughs are more or less "space marine" or "knight" playthroughs. Because it is pretty much the easiest way and a fast way. I get to known the gameworld quickly though not in detail necessarily. Helps on later playthroughs but leaves me a lot
FONV is a great game. Just can't really decide what sort of character i'd like to play.... Well actually i can BUT the game doesn't let me (Power armor+Grenade machine gun, minigun and rocket launcher). HC mode is sort of interesting BUT it is too easy and mostly just a nuisance. Biggest issue i have is the ammo having weight. I have a few thousand rounds (in "stacks" ofc) littering my house, weighting about 200 pounds at least. Since companions can die on HC, i cannot use them to car
