I think the laws of physics favor a Space Elevator. If you think about it, it's amazing rocket propulsion can even take us to space in the first place. Newton's Third Law is relying on the rocket's exhaust to propel the rocket. The exhaust doesn't exactly have a lot of mass. Plus it's amazing you can afford to carry on the rocket what amounts to exhaust. It takes fuel, to propel all th

This appears to happen, if you saved the game the same turn that the research completed. (well happens for me that way)

A reverse magnetic polar space elevator would work (no cables). But any space elevator using carbon nano tubes would be too dangerous, if the cable fell back to earth, too many would be killed. A reverse magnetic polar space elevator uses the polar magnetic force to over come gravity but it can only be build directly over the magnetic south pole, so that adds a lot of issues in itself.

I thought the edit option on pioneers was listed as a bug? And

I used to love the slave master trait until I did a test after you first said there was a bug, now I don't destroy the enemy, I just take them over. I would not mind, if there was a high level spell or something that could fix/restore the land

Most of my heros I have stolen their souls so I am the master of all magic. But yes, I prefer when you hire a L5 hero, they have 5 levels of exp but there current level is L1, so as soon as you hire them, they ding and you get to pick their skills. If you your the other side, as soon as you attack them, they auto randomly level and you fight them with there newly picked skills. Or just play on ridiculous level and there will be no hero's to hire any

Wow, this mod is a lot of fun, thank you! Can't wait for a 64bit version of the base game, so it can use more then 1.7gigs before crashing. Its sad when a game runs out of memory of a 12gig machine and less then 25% of the machines resources are in use.
Random loot from Mobs is based on exp, so less exp = less loot. Also killing lairs from the strategic map with pillars of fire etc = no loot So buffing yourself is greater then debuffing the mob

Balance between Death and Life spells. Who thinks Life has better spells then death? Note (1) If you lower the stats of a Mob, you get LESS exp when you kill it, so wither takes away exp, while courage and regeneration lets you have full exp. (2) Call to Arms is so powerful, you city can have 10 building queue up with one Drake at the end and for 40 mana, the Drake is instantly ready! (3) Death Ward means your hero has 50

At the moment you can snake your city's and block of travel (if you have a non attack policy, the AI can travel through your land but not over a city) You can also build on a 5+ grain and snake your city towards a river so you can build docks/watermills. I even snaked two cities to join, so I could travel 15 squares for free (which is so wrong!) I would like to see a middle ground. The starting city takes up a 3x3 space, and everything you build has

This is why Life (Kingdom) is better then Death (Empire) (at the moment) Life you Heal yourself but do not lower the stats of the enemy (but you do increase your own stats) and get max exp per fight Death you use wither and other spells to make the enemy weaker, and get little exp. I hope its a bug, the enemy should be worth X exp and you should get the same no matter how you kill them.

We need to raze outposts, as building an outpost also 'hidden's grain and material tiles in the same radius as a city. I saw a nice area but had to put an outpost to protect one area, but when I went back to build a city, I could not as the outpost 'hidden' it. If I could destroy the outpost, I would then build the city, but I want to get the AI to destroy it as I could not.

I always play a custom kingdom (life spells appear better then death, call to arms and regen are just so useful!) I use the Wraith race as they have cool tattoos and with white hair and light blue skin make a very close dark elf race, and I always go custom as I want serpents pack. It almost a must have trait. How many of you play Empire (death) based?

6 Replies 3,490 Views

When you destroy the monster in the centre of these areas, they should become uncontrolled so you can build there, but as of 0.86, this is not the case. I do like the that on the large map, you get 2 of theses areas, and they are random each time. Would be cool if we could make a HUGE map that had all 6 of them. (but I guess we will have to wait to the 64bit version of the game to handle the memory required)

I made a custom kingdom using wraith as the race, it looks like a text error. It allows you to create a kingdom or empire with any of the races.
