Looks good. Will try it tomorrow to make it crash. :D
We're designing pretty much all assets to be colorizable. The artists have gone to great lengths to allow a full palette of skin tones to work well on all unit models That will all be in-game, but if you want bright-green people then you'll have to mod it in
Since I mostly complained in the last few days, let's say, well done. :)
Meh, less then excited. Somehow sounds boring to me. The system itself also doesn't seem to make much sense though. Why would the kingdom fall to the hightest married daughter, when only sons remain in the family line? Besides I want to have female heroes and marry my sons off to some forgotten land instead. Yup, very good post Wintersong. When I wrote my post, I didn't saw yours yet, else I wouldn't have posted. :)
A possibility would be groups of effects all placed in on "element", like Fire (lava), Acid, poison and earth spells/enchantments under an "Earth" catagory. Wind/Lightining/cold under "Air". All types of buffs, debuffs, healing and mind spells (like sleep, confuse ect) under "Spirit". And then the unbrella catagory for all the rest "mystical". Just an idea, but, I can deal with 4 catagories vs defences reguardless of how many spells are in each catagorey, maybe 5 at most (life/dea
When the sovereign creates a city, they get displaced to an adjacent tile. It would be nice to have the option of choosing which tile they get displaced to. It appears that if you are out of movement and select an adjacent tile, that you will move there when you are displaced, but this method does not work if you are not out of movement. Suddenly lakes appeared all over the map. No clue why. The lakes themselves are only a graphic bug, I can easily go over them. Two turn later they were gone. <img class="embeddedObject" src="http://content.screencast.com/users/Vandenburg/folders/Jing/media/2abdfb55-e62d-4d1e-9ac7-b1613805f94d/suddenlakes.png" border="0" alt="" width="1008" he

Can you people post the dxdiag and debug.err files? I don't have this problem, so it will proably be necessary for the devs to know on which system this stuff happens. :)
Actually you can walk through all kind of things with no effect. I've walked through enemy cities, units, sovereigns and whatever. The collision detection really needs some work. :D (On the other hand you can attack somebody one tile away when you move in the position where he last was.)
The fallacy here is that you continue harping on your "credible sources", which by their own admission (via stolen email, but using their own words) have been working for the last 20 years to systematically strip credibility - fairly or unfairly - from anyone who even *looks* like they might not agree with the groupthink. In terms of funding: these people's funding depends absolutely on their being right. They have a fundamental vested interest in the outcome of the science at least as

But no, only thing was marching in to their territory, declaring war and conquering the city with the soldier in it.
There is also a problem with flickering/rapidly changing info cards when there are two units at the same place. Or when hovering over a building in a city and the city info card itself. Example in the video below: <param name="bgcolor" v
AI cheats. If you look at the population graph, you see the AI's people numer skyrocket in a few turns. I've just captured a defended enemy city. Only the soldier defending it didn't fight and defected to my side. I.e. I've captured the soldier too. :D Also this city has way too many people in it for such a small amount of housing. <img class="embeddedObject" src="http://content.screencast.com/users/Vandenburg/folders/Jing/media/2b2a632c-b8

It's much more stable then some weeks ago, it still sucks nevertheless. :D
I was exploring a bit with my Sovereign when it hit me. The game has different ranges of sight, but no concept of Line of Sight (LoS) yet. I wandered inside a valley in the mountains, not able to climb them (great mountain design btw. :) ) but somehow was able to see through those mountains to the other side. That shouldn't happen I think. <img cla
