Even a very unfair interpretation of those emails doesn't conclude that something shifty was going on. (You have to take sentences extremely out of context to do so.) Besides it is a boring topic to discuss in details. Deniers won't ever argue with facts, only with emotion, some sort of conspiracy theories and appeals to

Seriously, has science died? No. Next conspiracy theorist pls.
See picture below. Either force at least one topic to be available or add text to it, so it won't announce a breakthrough when there isn't one. ;)
Tried to load a game. Instant crash to desktop. Link to FogBugz (with wrong version number though.)
Well, I leveled my sovereign just to discover, to my utmost horror dear sirs and ladies, that he is missing pants! I demand a PG-18 rating for this game now! ;)
The AI built a kingdom palace and a woodcutter. Each of those needs 4 tiles, thus making building of houses impossible. Stagnating the AI city forever. 8 free tiles - 2 x 4 tile buildings = stagnation (The more buildings that are available makes the problem with the current housing system even more obvious, since you can easily overbuild your city so it can't grow anymore.) <img src="http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/8564/stuck.jpg" alt="
One of my scouts deserted because of a lack of funds. The fog didn't recover though, I still could view the area where he last was. In the middle of this area was my scout before he deserted some rounds ago.
As an addendum: Text shining through on the load map screen. And pixelated white ornaments around faction flag:
Confirmed. Growing borders don't check for foreign units in them, trapping them inside. See picture below. I'm not orange but inside orange borders, since the growing borders overrun my stationary unit. :)

Nice new splashscreen. Do we get one with a cute guy the next time? ;) Dunno if it is new but I've never realized it. Parts of the music gets toned down when in the options menu (only drums remaining). Very nice sound effect. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Ah, downloading update now. And I wanted to go to sleep. :(

Having a 10x larger tech tree in the new build is gonna be really frustrating if this bug persists.
The new update revamps the research screen, so I think it very probable that it got fixed. :)

And people (at least me) are really fed up with spam, so we won't even tolerate a little bit of it. (Especially not in a place where it doesn't have any righ

Defaulting to on with the simple option to disable is the best balance between awareness and choice. If you really really hate it, turning it off is simple. Looks good. I like the new research screen much more then the old one, from just looking at it. :) Since you've mentioned city building, any chance of changing the behaviour of hut building and resource access?

This is a Fantasy world that you’re trying to conquer. I would love to see as much of the RPG element brought into the game but I also want to control an Empire with its cities and vast ar

Becaouse it does sound very RTS for me and I really hate RTS games.
It depends heavily how they implement continuous turn based in the game, since they are different ways to do it (and interprete it). If it is simillar to how the Baldurs Gate series did it, it will work that way: Each action needs a certain a
I think we all agree that the current system has some critical flaws: - too much micromanagement with the different house types and the need to renew them to the new (and superior types) - the need to connect to ressource nodes forces snake-like cities that try to cover as much ground as possible - city spam is still possible and encouraged to take as much resources as possible I'll propose a solution to this problems.
