Meh the entire Discovery Network's gone down the tubes over the past decade, it's been dumbed down to the basest common denominator and will soon be another "The 'Learning' Channel" which is now nothing but back to back reality shows. RIP Educational Television, marketing to idiots is more profitable! Here come the Axe Men, Pawn Stars, and Ice Road Truckers YEEEE HAAAWWWWW! Derp Derp glug glug derp it's real derp.

... Red Dwarf ... WAAAAAGHHH!
If anyone else was incredibly bored with the Empire factions all being stupidly Death Blasted Land (despite contrary faction descriptions) and the Kingdoms all being Goodly Grass Land, this changes it to give the factions more varied terrain, it changes absolutely nothing but terrain and color schemes so it's completely patch compatible and will only ever interfere with a patch that diversifies their currently boring homogeneous terrain types (and slightly colors). <a href="https://fo
That is so awesome.
I guess my mod just isn't good enough to be added to the list :(
Every one and awhile the AI will approach me with the message that roughly says "You're going to want to trade your first born son when you hear about our new discovery. Seriously, have him start packing." when I agree, it opens up the trade window. Now I can only assume this is where the AI would offer me a recent tech discovery with a perceived value for me to match, but it seems that technology trading either was never added or has been removed. Am I wrong?
Just point me in the right direction and tell me what you need, I'm always up for a Quest hehe.
Doctor Who.....really. Why? Probably the worst Sci-fi series ever made. And the novells are not that great either. Well lets hope the mod will be better than the show
No no, Stargate Universe is the worst Sci-Fi series ever made, Dr Who is just stoner chips and fun.

I just uploaded a mod I slapped together to act as an example if you want to check it out. You can get the Lord of War mod in this thread.
Just as an example for another modder, I decided to release my Lord of War Mod This mod gives your sovereign access to a few items on start up, some are cheat items and some are purely cosmetic. All items have their own internal name so this shouldn't conflict with any mods, and you should get both sets of legendary armor showing up in shop now (but one set will show up twice)
You should completely remove any items that aren't available in the mod and change the internal names of any that are, like instead of GameItemType InternalName =" GnarledClub " > put GameItemType InternalName <span clas
Hopefully this will get added to the List of Elemental Mods thread. It gets buried pretty fast and no one seems to have noticed it.
Problem is, there doesn't seem to be any where in the XML that defines say DeathEnvironment as a value of 1, GrassLandEnvironment as 2, and so forth. Taken from elemental.str [EnvironmentDisplayValue0] Barren [EnvironmentDisplayValue1] Dead [EnvironmentDisplayValue2] Grassland [EnvironmentDisplayValue3] Swamp [EnvironmentDisplayValue4] Desert [EnvironmentDisplayVal
Good advice, I'll keep it in mind. I'd like to add one. If you're posting code that you've gotten from a core file, whether you've edited it or not, it's extremely helpful to the community to mention where you found that code.
Well if Games Workshop decided to be total jackasses and issue a Cease and Desist he could just change a few names and release it as a Hammercraft mod as Wintersong said. There have been Warhammer mods for several other games, so it's well worth going ahead with.
Sounds to me like her city was destroyed by another faction and she was desperately trying to claim a new city.
AWESOME I'm a huge Warhammer nerd! You should troll the Warhammer forums for people who are interested and can help, I'm good at writing unless I get writers block. I could help come up with faction plots, characters with backstories, that sort of thing. I have to say up front that I mostly know 40K stuff though. Gah this is just such an awesome idea that I really want to contribute, I'm just not sure how much good I'd be.
No one ever mentions this, but can we please get the AI Diplomacy fixed so that the AI doesn't constantly pester us to go to war with our friends and allies? Even my "hostile" adversary Kraxis demands that I join forces with him and attack my allies with whom I have every treaty available, The Altar. What makes this worse is that Kraxis has never even encountered The Altar, in diplomacy it says they Haven't Met. STOP THE AI FROM DEMANDING THAT WE GO TO WAR WITH OUR FRIENDS, PA
Where are the patch notes?
But without even knowing how terrains get their numbers in the first place, and not being able to find any indication of it in any of the core files, I don't think that's doable. That requires code no one seems to have access too.
From what I can tell, Swamp isn't an Environment type, it's a Terrain type. Basically, you Barren Swamps, Grassland Swamps, Fallen Swamps, etc. Uncommenting the Swamp environment type in CoreEnvironments causes all kinds of crazy Graphical glitches and has crashed every game I've played as soon as I hit End Turn. Adding a swamp Environment definition into every entry in TerrainType seems to help fix most of this, but still crashe
I created a Terrain and Colors Mod to add a little more diversity and personality to the in game factions, can it get added to the list? It's purely cosmetic and patch compatible and shouldn't effect any mod or patch that doesn't change the color scheme or terrains of factions.
There's a lot of changes coming in the next patch so I'm kind of holding off on really getting into modding beyond cosmetic stuff and minor cheats for now.
The tag only works for minor factions.
Ah that makes sense, since their capitals are automatically placed. I've never noticed if major factions have the same capital names every game, I never really checked.
