My idea for Roots.... will make a simpler one for Root...
NaytchSG
Please do, glad you like it! I am working on Root/Roots and Sanctuary icons as well...
Thanks, that was embarrassingly easy! Like a bolt from the clear blue sky... I'll take my luck then with root as it has helped save me from the Juggernauts in several games... Keep up the good work!
I made up a very simple smite icon, but the forum won't let me copy it from my desktop into a forum post. How did you get your pic in the above post? I made it in Windows paint (I'm no artist, either!) But I thought you might like it. Is Root resistable? It worked everytime in my last game both friend and foe...
Enemy AI used Root against a trained unit and then against my sov in the same battle. Sweet!
I would eliminate it, and replace it with Governors getting +X exp a turn in a city due to their profession.
I agree. Rename it the Governor's Mansion and let it give +1 xp to troops and non-governor class heroes and + 2 for governor heroes. And let it be built in every city (or maybe up to 3? to represent provinces?). But I agree with everybody who said they build it for the discount her
Yes, please!
The your agreement has expired message the turn after you make it bug is still in there too. Your agreement actually is in effect, but the expiration message pops up.
And I'm too impatient to wait to use them [e digicons]}:)[/e] Starting new game to incorporate 0.61!
Oops, I tried to use old link, nvm, I found the new spells by following the links in the subsequent messages.
Thanks, HF. The trophy is cool, the randomness of the loot... not so much!
tl;dr Bodies lie broken and scattered on the field of battle, but the stony grinder of mountains lies defeated. I send his head to my largest Town to boost Gildar and Growth. A troop of bruised and bloodied cavalry render salutes and a ragged cheer as their Captain points out a roughly squarish hole at the base of the nearest peak. Two wagons wide, it must be the lair of Torax. Surely an Elemental Lord would have accumulated unique magical artifacts of great
I have seen this as well.
[e digicons]:omg:[/e] That was Fast! Downloading now... Ooo, and a credit! Aw, shucks [e digicons][/e] Thanks! Edit#2: Hmmm, I downloaded 0.51 again... I will check back later...
I started a new game with the mod on, and of course I have 3 earth shards, and only one life shard. But I like how laying on of hands works. I am now saving up my mana to tune up (Triage... heh, I do that in real life, actually :) ) some heroes who bravely faced Torax to weaken him for a second stack including my sov. I was thinking the Holy City spell could actually cost an earth and life shard as I seem to recall destroying a shard is used in other
Oh, like the lair loot thing!
Spell suggestions, don't know if all are possible in the game code. Mana cost and level as you see fit. Righteous Anger: The unit gains the ability to counterattack for the duration of combat. Bound for Glory: The hero is impervious to physical damage for the combat but permanently dies at the end. Can only be cast on a hero. (Lose some influence as well and 2 points of faction prestige perhaps?) </p
In my current game I had occasion to both manually fight and auto-resolve battles vs. Juggernauts armed with guillotine axes. Manually resolved: the end-result for my army was um... sub-optimal [e digicons]x_x[/e] a 6 unit army consisting of Naddi Arena and 5 spear units slaughtered. Auto-resolved I lost one 3-man spear unit w/o damage to any one else. The Jugs are brutal with splash, maul, and axe backswing (gotta Dodge twice in a row [e digicons]8C[
I have seen this too but thought it was just mouseover offset weirdness like when your unit moves adjacent to the tile you thought you were aiming for. I was able to just randomly move the mouse over the city tiles until it showed a city label.
True, Parrotmath, but Marvin has a point when the battle is just beginning and it would be better for the webber to immobilize a nearby melee unit. It would also be nice if the AI would then not place a unit adjacent to a webbed unit while attacking a non-webbed unit if possible. Why would you subject your unit to an unnecessary attack? Same thing with beguiling missile weapon troops/heroes/sovs...

Added it yesterday, fun so far! Now if I could only find a life shard in my newest game!
Well-written and some great ideas... especially the scavenger trait. Anything to improve loot drops after battles is a plus.
The problem with throwing knives is what I've been saying since EWOM days, but nobody at Stardock will listen. Their range is off by 1. It should be 4 and not 3. Here's why. In their current form, you have to get close enough to throw them that your opponent can melee attack you the next round. That is messed up. The point of the knives should be 1 little free attack before your opponent gets
humm, I don't recall sword get 2 counterattack at war college level, it's only gave you one counterattack unless you playing athe (red faction with those wine drinking flag) do had that sword gave you 2 but normal race, don't get those....
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was suggesting a change to the current mechanic where I can run up and whack low-init militia and other AI troops for free (no count
