Ascian is a great hero and I've had her lead powerful armies. Once you get the message to go find her, send every available unit you can spare to check the outskirts of your kingdom, she seems to hang out there. Once you get her she levels up quickly and you can make her very deadly and hard to kill.
Skyjack
I don't know, I had crashes and suspected my vid card. Replaced the card and zero crashes now.
I rename every city and custom unit so I've never used the generator.
I agree with all of the above. Ice staffs can be surprisingly effective vs dragons.
Get fire resists on your army and hero. Use strategic spells to weaken him before battle. Dragons are very beatable, just not without the proper preparation.
You can mod this in.

..because nobody trusts elves .
I usually get my Sov well into the 20's. i only use Huge map and Epic research though. Raze conquered cities, don't hold them unless you need them. Use outposts in yet heir place. Have pioneers following your conquerors.
Stardock, we really need a way to permanently delete our custom factions, units and sovereigns.
Seriously @Stardock please fix this.
You can always set the world to "beginner". ;). Learn, rebuild, kill. Too many kids these days use the words fair and unfair when things don't turn out the way they like. I fear for this generation.
For building units, it's really powerful. As Pariden or my Pariden-based custom faction, I can get 4 essences and use them all to build super enchanted units which dominate.
Haha, need I repeat myself?
I see this all the time.
Again, how about a simple dialog box? "Take Tile" or "Cancel" this would make everyone happy, no?
I really like the more aggressive idea; taking cities and/or expanding borders.
Personally, I wish there was a choice to move into conquered tile or not. I generally like the idea of moving to clear lairs and caves and stuff, but don't like to have to reform my army after conquering a city.
Yep two buttons after winning combat: "Take Tile" or "Cancel"
Hey everyone, Maybe a noob question here, but does this game patch automatically through Steam or do I need to do it manually? If so, how do I do that/where do I find the option? Thanks
...which doesnt work since Steam turns it back on. It has never worked. I wonder why they leave that option in.
I like this idea.
I agree. Many of these type game allow a city to have a waypoint were any produced/exiting units will rally.
I like this idea.
Pariden; scrying pools and arcane monoliths
I find soul spark to be a pretty good ability and all your units get it.
imo this could be solved by making borders closed to begin with and having to request open borders from the other person to move through them at all.
bingo.
Yeah I see it all the time. I knew like it ;)
