How does Magnat's faction stand up as a stock faction?
+1 for Patrol Mode.
Ty!
Hi all. Just got LH and I like epic sandbox games. Which maps are the largest? thanks!
Quoting Teslacrashed, reply 1I dislike micromanaging combat units in real-time. It's not fun for me. I like WoM/FE/LH because of the turn-based combat.I am also fond of the art style for the Elemental games. I agree if you want to play Total War games go play Total War games. Don't go trying to ruin what has potential to be a great tbg into a kiddy clickfest childish game.
TW
If you were short material doesn't it show anyway in the city "train" menu? You wont be able to select it and train them but if you put your cursor over it then it should say what material your missing. But if it's not there at all you might not have researched the proper tech to train the horsemen, if memory serves i've gotten horses before i've gotten horsemen and was able to custom design my "Light Cavalry" an
Quoting Skyjack, reply 7 Okay just checked: in the design screen it says cost of a simple horse unit is one horse. I designed one and it shows up in my Train screen. I just can't see the pre-designed ones (yet?) for now. I'm okay with this. Just a learning process, which I like. Sounds like you may be short of some other resource possibly for the pre-designed unit, maybe iron or crystal.

There are pre-designed horse units... not sure why you are not seeing them. You should a predesigned on in the design window, and it appears that you may not have enough horses to produce a horse unit. Check the research tree for mounted-warfare and see if they have a unit called horseman. edit: In the design window for horsemen it should show you the cost to produce a horseman unit.
Okay so assum
Do you have enough horses to build a unit. I think for a horse group of 3 people, you need 3 horses. Can you design horse units?
i can see horses in the design window but I haven't saved a design yet...ill check in a bit. My capital produces 1 horse (per turn?). So maybe I need to upgrade something?
Yes! So there are no pre-designed horse units? I'm fine with designing my own, just want to be sure. Btw, thx for the reply.
Hi All, I mentioned this in another thread but it may get lost in the shufflesee even though I've " built Stable and Ranch and researched Mounted Warfare", yet I see no horse units in my "Train" list. What am I missing? I definately have horses in my capital! thanks for any help!
Quoting Skyjack, reply 14 Okay one more query: how the heck do you build cavalry? My capital is a TOWN and it has the horses resource. my 2nd city is a FORTRESS with a barracks but I don't see any horse units available to build. Do you have to design your own mounted units? Thanks in advance! check your tech tree
i just checked.

Oops! Found it. I feel dumb now.
Hey guys another Newb question: where do you change a city's name? I finally have a day off so I hope to be able to sink my teeth into this game. Thanks again for any help!
Thanks for the replies. I started with the Scenario but I think I'll start a sandbox game later today. Q) In the Scenario, I noticed my Sovereign had a limited army capacity. I imagine that those locked slots for more troops can be opened in sandbox mode with certain research or attributes? Thanks!
a few hints: - only factions with life magic have healing spells (such as the regeneration buff parrotmath mentioned, or direct healing spells at higher levels of life magic) - natural HP regeneration of units is based on the unit level. if your militia survives a few levels, they will heal faster with every level up (IIRC they heal 1 HP / level each season, so a level 5 unit heals up to 5 HP per turn) <
Thanks that helps.
Just got the game and here's mt first Newb question: how do you heal say, a unit of militia, on the strategic map? Thanks!
