For charisma and recruiting...does this mean regardless of what unit/champion is near the champion you wish to recruit the sovereign's charisma is what will be used in determining the cost of recruitment?
Ugg, I bet you could have gotten around all that by installing it directly into C:, rather than program files x86. But hey, go scripted tech-support, no?
Nope, didn't work. Tried directly to the CD drive. Well a folder I created C:\Warcraft3 Actually it wasn't scripted. At least didn't seem to be, but the person i got also plays WC3 so dunno about the rest. And he was an american or could fake an american accent tremendo
Figured it out. Well, as how these things normally go, a few mintues after I posted I got a blizzard tech support person. Needed to install the game in safemode with networking. Tra-la!
I haven't gotten a response from blizzard and I've been on hold for an hour with blizzard's tech support SO I figured since everyone here seems like they know at least a little bit about computers I'd ask here. I downloaded WC3:Reign of Choas and the expansion The Frozen Thrown from battle.net. I've tried to install WC3:RoC numerous times and recieve the same error messages: The file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start M
I suggest not calling things that produce mana as shrines unless you intend to require people to "worship" at the buildings. Or am I wrong and mana is generated by faith? From what i've experienced playing mana is generated by magic things, not religion. Shrines are generally associated with religion or places of rememberance of people lost.
I was able to build a temple of essence in my first city without having the technology to do so. Also, spider nests and some gold mines appeared in my influence area without the proper technology for it. I've been playing medium maps and thought I'd try a small map to cut down on city spamming. It seems like the small maps are the same size as the medium maps. Anyone else experience this?
Since the lastest patch...1.09e...the first research building costs 25 gold??? And double clicking in the spell book sometimes takes a couple of tries or clicking off something else and then double clicking again for it to work.

When you look at a resource, it tells you what city it is "linked" to, meaning what city is getting the resource. and thus, if I want to build irrigation, which city I would need to build it in to get the benefits. He is saying that when the bee hive popped up, it pooped up in the middle of three cities, and was too far away from any of them and wasn't getting the resources at all. If they a
You can build on any resource that is in your territory. Once you build a city up next to it, the fence around the city will adjust to go around the resource as well. You are still getting the benefit from the resource if it's not connected to a city. Once it's connected to the city, your city will be able to protect it using the units stationed in the city and any city wall bonuses you might have. Also, if the
Noticed something that looked like a sigil or rune while playing a random map. Is it supposed to mean something?
Recently played a game where a bee plot was not linked to any of the three cities around it and it should be. I mean, it might be correct according to game rules, but I feel it would be a bit too much to require a city be buitl just for it. Saved game: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8971392/notlinked.EleSav
Two games so far and these princesses of tarth keep appearing as enemies. Also the auto next unit without orders does not select caravans that have not established trade routes and have no orders. Nor does the next unit without orders button in the UI.
I dont cover myself in TP's and i am always swimming in gold but a friend of mine (we play MP) has the same problem as you. We are not sure yet what breaks the economy. Some things i watch out for: - Get Gold Mines, Diamonds, Pearls (obvious) - Always create trade routes to your cities - Never have more building upkeep then your citiy produces in gold. I always stay at least at +5 Go
Curious. For those of you who have played at least a few games of Civ IV...is it my lack of skill(despite years of playing tons of Civ5 and similar games) or do you need to cover your territory in trade posts to have any sort of economy that isn't crushingly negative?
guns and butter? What does that mean?
Have you started a new game? ATM unfortunatley the xml gets updated only at game start... Your mod folder path looks good, and you checked the "use mod" box, so that's the only thing coming to my mind...
Oh, needs to be a new game. Ty.
I created a folder for mods here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\Mods I turned the mods on, restarted E:WoM and still same problems. Where do the mods specifically need to go? Do I have to do anything besides have the box for "Use Mods" being X-ed?
For some reason my attempt is being denied? I'm using WinRAR and being told access is denied. : / Edit:NVM. Was able to make a folder on my desktop, unzip the files there, and then copy and paste them to the mods directory i had to create.

Well I thought they were over powered, but now the stone giant's ability misses every single time. Possibly the fire giant now too.

I have the same problem starting an army. I've tried many games and have been unable to field a decent sized army or units for city defense. There are not enough ways to produce gilder and tools to create a viable army.
