The AI haven't gotten any significant work in yet, Brad said he's working on it for 1.1 with the new magic system. Having said that, I hope SD saw my comment on some other thread about adding a value to skills and spells that boost the combat rating of units that can use them. Right now the combat rating system completely fails to adjust for skills and spells. As for the Prince/Princesses. It's because they prevented them from become champions that you can hire, but did

Well I know for a fact that caravans works, and I'm told that any unit would do... although I haven't actually tried (no reason to replay the campaign). Having said that, I believe some people had bugs in earlier versions where some campaign triggers wouldn't work correctly because of some failure in load/save. Not sure if that problem is back or if this is a new one. If caravans doesn't work for you, I'd say it's a good idea to make a post about

The reason I said sovereign designer is because we can custom tailor colors and such. It's not that hard to get armors to show up in the sovereign designer (there are a couple of mods floating around that does this), and you get a really complete set. Since the goal is just to make it look good, we'll probably end up copying the items and give them zero stat anyways (since we don't want the item stats modifying the unit).

Hmm... to me what's weird here is that the AI has two different catapult. The HP gain might be explainable by leveling, but I don't recall anything that would raise their atk. Were you modding something? Edit: Also, how late game are we talking about? If it's really late, then he might have researched high ATK and HP bonuses.

Royalty has always been broken, but especially so now that they made royalty work for champions and children with royalty too. I mentioned this when Brad was first talking about specialist slots, but I think they do realize that there's a problem since Boogie mentioned in passing that they were reevaluating the system or something, not sure what the plan is now. PS: It's also extremely exploitable. Marry Pariden/Resoln's daughters and suddenly you get massive prestige a
The mere fact that you give any credence at all to Amazon tech-related product reviews just tells me how informed your opinion is. Have you read the reviews? There's a 1-star review protest because of Steam. The same was true for Elemental, just tons of 1-star reviews from people that never even bothered to play the game.
To be honest, this happens pretty much everywhere. There are people with gru

Might also be able to use it to do something like a build "economic" or "research" option in CIV... where we define Economic as a tileless building that gives a one time bonus of x amount of gildar/tech/arcane. Edit: though not sure how one time bonuses would work with tech, hence "might"

Well there's only one tree so... XD Guess we'll go with deformed then. As for the hut, I was just throwing it out there while I was playing with the design. It has 2 houses instead of 4, so I figured, hey, hut! heh. Also, are we also doing Spider Nest, Drath Village, and Dragoon Roost? Or should we just stick with base for those...

"--AI seems to undervalue my Sov/Champs in rating" I just want to highlight this particular point. I noticed that the game has no clue how to value spell casters or skills. As a result, the AI will attack a low combat rating caster thinking they would win only to get wiped by a pair of spells. There really needs to be some modifier that we can set for spells and skills that would buff the combat rating of someone who can use them. This would allow the AI to at least thi

That's easy enough, I have the trees but I haven't been using them because I'm not sure what will happen for people who don't have the trees installed. In anycase, which "fix" do you guys think is best? The smaller version or the deformed one?

I was afraid of this when I saw the first compilation. It's not so much that the house is too big (although I guess it might be a bit), it just stands out too much for being just a house (mainly the height I think). This was why I said I might scrap it and try something else. In anycase, here's some possibilities for it: <a href="http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/1276/elemental1285947797.jpg
