Yes, alas I was afraid that this would end up being the case, and I had tried to postpone it to see if my situation would lighten up anyway. As it happens, due to various life events and an otherwise busy schedule, I cannot in fairness to others involved stay on. At the moment, I've only been finding time to do a minimum of maintenance and upkeep on my turns and with war looming with Hinnom it looks like the Monkey People will need to find a new spirit to lead them. &n

[quote who="Kamamura_CZ" reply="531" id="2950758"]BTW sorry, guys, I know that I am the last now, but my daughter is ill and I don't have the peace to go through the moves now. The game has become unbelievably complex, and requires a lot of consideration and focus - making a move takes more than an hour for me now. I don't need to extend the limit, I will definitely send my moves in time, but please note that I still need a few more hours (right now I am headed for work). T

The Monkey Spirit is pleased to announce a victory over the enemy army at Zanthrast. Ermor's army fought well and destroyed our undead horde, but they faltered against our elite demon backbone. The mighty fortress at Zanthrast is within our grasp, and soon our forces will turn their gaze south towards the countless hordes of Pangaea.

(ooc) To clarify my position to all. First off, for role playing reasons, Lanka is aligned with Hinnom since Hanan'el has achieved such mythical status among the Lankan people, and so popular opinion is with Hinnom. If Hanan'el were to die, it would be quite a shock (understatement) to the people of Lanka. I am putting a heavy role playing emphasis on my play, so that will influence much of what I do. For gameplay reasons

News of the Pangaean declaration of war has reached my court, and Lanka stands behind our ally Omniphagus, master of the great champion Hanan'el. We hereby announce that Pangaea be an enemy of the people of Lanka. All aid that can be given will be given to the giants of Hinnom in the fight against our enemies!

Asante sana. Squash banana. Wewe nugu. Mimi apana. Where will Ermor's army go I wonder? Where should my army go? Choices, choices. Should I try to intercept his army (and likely miss), pull back to defend, or attack even if his army moves into my territory. Or will he pull his army to defend if I attack? Choices, choices.

News arrives from the front at Zanthrast! A scribe was there to recount the events of the battle: The lowly markata volunteers (freeloaders) were placed out in the front and ordered to charge at the enemy. They hesitated, but the force of Palankasha's (think tiger people) threatened to cut them down if they did not do as they were told, and so reluctantly, they charged ahead. The demons took great pleasure in watching the tiny monkeys be cut down i

I know that if you have a fort in the province, a 'Defend' order has them stay in the castle. Patrol is what you use if you want them to be out of the castle for a fight. Research definitely has them stay in the castle, and blood hunt I think has them outside the castle. Haven't tried things like pillage, but I assume that has them out of the castle as well.

Troops have been gathered, virgins sacrificed, demons summoned. Our generals are equipped and the fodder have been prepped. The dead have risen, and our people howl as the war machine is running at full force. The invasion of Ermor starts next month, when the troops will be given the order to move. The bloodlust has set in, and one way or another, it needs to be quenched. How will our blood crazed monkey demons stand up to the mighty legions of E

Reports are coming in of monkeys swarming into people's homes on the look out for virgin women. At first the populace became quite upset at this new development, but then the Monkey Spirit, in his infinite wisdom decided that a tax break would be acceptable recompense for the loss of people's daughters. The population has taken to this new proposal rather well and no longer show any overt signs is of unrest. What shall be the fate of those poo

New announcement to be made! For the time being, all attacks against Hinnom by our monkey warriors will cease! The bounty on Hanan'el is hereby withdrawn! King Louis was a great warrior of our people, so it was only fitting that he went down to such a warrior as the one formerly known as the Bane of Lanka. For now, our attention must turn elsewhere to the west. I harbor no ill feelings towards Ermor, bu

A whole group of humans decided that they love me so that they be willing to fight for me. I be thinking they just wanna be paid, but my advisors tell me that executing them would be setting a bad example. I think I be setting a bad example letting them live, as later on, more humans decided they want to fight for me, so now I be paying for both groups. They be setting a truly bad example, as I now have stupid markatas wanting to be joining my armies and be paid. &nb

Yeah, their low morale is why I think the Salamander trainer can be useful. They have Animal Awe +4 and an elephant has 9 morale (8 morale if fighting in your dominion) So, with that in mind, the trainer has a 85.8% chance to awe an elephant in your dominion. If it's in enemy dominion, it's down to 76.3%, and finally, if it's been sermon of couraged (h2 priest spell) in enemy dominion, 62.4%. Either way, on paper it

You'll still get fatigue after casting a spell, but it will be greatly reduced (as its dispersed amongst the slaves). Here's a really good guide on communions: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=37499

Not much to be saying now. We be rebuilding our army we lost in the Hinnom campaign and focusing on our magics. We do have a new army, but it would be unwise to send it off to war. For now, we be building our defenses and increasing our numbers, and we be waiting.

The remnants of the Lankan army sent south have been completely annihilated. The Bane of Lanka and his posse (Malthus shown above, two Melquarts, his prophet Eren, and a Kohen) have launched a counter attack on the Lankan staging grounds of the Dead Marshes. The Lankan invasion of Hinnom has been thwarted.

[quote who="Kamamura_CZ" reply="314" id="2941481"]Yeah, magic duel, horror marks, curses, lots of horrible spells out there, but fortunately, monkey king Louis is a true macho and thinks magic is for pansies, so it's strictly brutal force versus even more brutal force. And in such (ladies will forgive) "d*ck measuring contest", Hanan'el always has a few extra inches to beat Well, i think the stat posting does not fit the roleplaying well (It's okay IMO

[quote who="ghostwes" reply="311" id="2941453"]With all due respect, I think we probably shouldn't be posting stats like this. I'm not really much of a role-player -- at least where this particular game is concerned -- but posting stats sort of removes a lot of the magic under the hood for me, if that makes sense. I'd rather read his stats when/if I enter battle with him. More challenging, realistic and fair that way. I dunno, if no one else has a prob

News of the defeat at Binophe brought forth a wave of outcry and dread. Hanan'el, Bane of Lanka, routed the invading Lankan army. Hanan'el's name has achieved near mythical status at the Monkey City. Mothers tell their little monkey children that Hanan'el will eat them in their sleep if they do not behave. Panic sweeps through the land as fears emerge of Hanan'el, an army unto himself, making his way through the lands of the monkey demons, devouring
