[quote who="lamperti" reply="9" id="1941870"]In MOM you didn't have any control over how your heroes changed when they leveled up. In AOW they gave you the ability to distribute points as you chose. I found a problem when I played Aow, which was that after a few levels my heroes started to all seem the same. In MOM this never happened. This was because when I leveled up a hero, I thought of certain things as being important, so I often strengthened the 'weak' parts of the he

@Cervomix - The beauty in such a system would be that artifact & relic would have its pluses and minuses built around its specialization. So what you may consider the best I may not. Additionally I may like one item for a faction that I play and another one for a different faction. I was thinking the custom creation thing could be a bonus feature for the player after he wins say five game, on a given level, with the same faction, the game allows him to create a new artifact for th

Those are very nice and have a consistent visual theme yet faction distinctive. That is pretty much what I would expect for Elemental. Hell the CoA could have ornaments behind them based on the difficulty level of the game and devices based on how many wins at that level.

Hardcore, Ironman... Bah! Keep in theme with the game. It should be called obsidian or diamond mode. [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e] Nonetheless I would like an experience system that goes to maybe 100 points. Furthermore I would like to be able to distribute those points to the unit. For example, each level gives me one point to distribute. I could give it to defense or offence categories. Both of those would have subsections for me to select. Moreover every 10 points the units base magic r

@lwarmonger - Sounds like you are describing modern cooperate America and the new world order in your last post. Hmmm... The times they are a changin'.... BTW: Speaking of morality and ethics, Edge recently published an article that is worth a read on the topic. Would you like to know more? Then click here .

I think it would be neat if during the game setup players could chose from a list of relics what ones would found in the world randomly. For example the player gets a list of five defensive and offensive ones and must select say two (2) of each for inclusion into the world at random unknown locations. If the player does not select any specific ones the maybe three (3) of each would be included all randomly selected by the game. It would also be nice if the player was allow to create r

I think SD should make standard CoAs for each of the cannon factions and allow users to change them when they customize a civilization. Regarding the generation as you play, that would be nice but I think the programming side if things might be difficult. The devices and stuff could be added as achievements in game if SD was inclined to go that way.

It is my firm belief that each of the civilizations in the game should have their own default coats-of-arms and that the player should be able to create their own custom one for their civilization when setting up a game. I think SD to include a full coats-of-arms generator within the game that can be accessed from the main menu. In short to be the coats-of-arms generator would be identical to the shop builder for GC2. It should also allow for easy png image importation for players to

That is the beauty of the fallen. Making the armor standout from the dark eerie environment and still retain that sexy mystic about it. Given the work you have already done. I would say you are more than capable of doing such a thing. Hell you are starting to make me look with all the new items - not that I mind. A dozen or so more and you should surely start your own gallery thread. [e digicons]k1[/e]

Well as long as the morality argument is purely subjective the concept is a good one. On a side note and to support my position consider this... I think we have a new form of slavery now. The slaves don’t wear chains anymore, there are no whips either and they are free to travel and it is insidious in its incarnation, but make no mistake, it is slavery nonetheless. We have millions of people called "working poor" people who work their fingers to the bone only to be able to pay r

If there was some sort global magic pool that grew and shrank based on life and death sway related to the growth and reduction of the worlds powers with the total map general area as a natural cap and dragons as huge percentage components as well as total world population I could see such a thing but I don’t think something like that would happen given what we have been told already.

This thread frightens and confuses me because when I see the word "Dragonlance," I feel a great flare of frustration because I got partway through the real thing with a D&D crew before the problem of being grownups made us have to ditch the attempt at finishing the story. I was not one of the players who suffered from spouses and children, and the gametime schedule di

The more I think about this game the more I can see it taking the direction of the old DL titles. When I was a teen those SSI DL games had to be about my favorite titles for that platform. There was one in particular, that I vaguely remember which used shields to represent army for movement but that is about all I can remember of it. I thought it was the best. Those titles were on the 5.25 disks. Which were a big huge step up from the tape based and cartridge games I have for my prior

I also made a higher level contrast one but decided the more pale original one looks better for the forum skin style. I think maybe a blue channel boost of 10% with a 5% sharp might do the trick and still keep the pale tone to the rest.
