I'm hoping the new total war game pulls it off, but naval battles have been utter shit in every rts and tbs I played outside of actual naval combat games. I loathe having halfassed attempts at it, if it's beyond them, they need to just skip it. If they can pull off an entertaining and realistic system for it, I'll add that to my drool pile, but christ I hate having to deal with ships in so many games...
You don't necessarily want all your spearmen to upgrade to pikes later. Depending on how detailed the system is, having light archer units for kiting enemy heavy infantry would get them massecred when they upgraded to plate mail.
I agree auto is bad. If it is an option for users then OK but othewise I dont like it.

It is Mysql magic.
@McFungos - Again dont shoot the messenger. The system itself is righteous the implementation of it leave much to be desired. Game making is an art forum you know. Anyway, I made a quick list of some general core systems we have been discussing in various threads. They are: Government system Doctrine system National Idea system Vice & virtue system Trait system Heraldry system <br
Annatar has the right general idea for now. What I would like to do is once the domain name is decided to set up subs for each race. For example like: TheFallen.ElementalGame.net. That sub would have a unique frontend and special content for it. All would of course be lined at the top domain level which would naturally reflect any new content or news updates for all as well as the game in general. We could then make fully interactive unit databases and spells -etc... @Vieuxchat - No w

It can range from making desktop images to doing reviews on the game to coding interactive stuff for the website like we did for the clansofsin database or the database we developed and for another site we set up: twoworldscraft.com. I want to set up an Elemental fan site and I'm looking for serious and committed community members to get involved. I'll cover all the setup costs and whatnot. So I wanted to know if anyone interested and what domain name do you guys would work best?
