Surely Lord Xia purchased Elemental in 2010? Seems like he is been on these forums since I first bought the game. Has he just been complaining without actually playing the game? Q: Who gets the Fallen Enchantress Beta? A: Everyone who purchased War of Magic in 2010 will receive free access to the beta. These invitations will be staggered, watch your email to see when your invite arrive

Its the most up to date Chrome. I checked for updates. It must be the computer, or the draconian software used to try and keep me from wasting my work hours on video game forums... EDIT: Now it's working fine. No idea what the problem was.
I can't click on people's name attached to their post to open up their profile. Might be something to do with my work comp being a turd, but I will check when I get home.
I'm not one to put together my own computer, so if they offer a price I can afford, I will start looking their way.
I'm in the same boat. I think it's just a week wait. I just have to push all the dreams of dancing sugar plum Trogs out of my mind for one more week!

I would hazard a guess that these three base units are there to make sure the AI is properly using its bonuses. It shouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the AI can add traits that are acquired throughout the game.
I imagine it works pretty similar with how Gal Civ 2 worked. The AI has templates, and as it acquires new skills,

Setting a size limit to cities and having thousands of buildings to choose from sounds more fun to me. I would like to see how the game plays, but I think 9 tiles should be the largest a city gets in general. After that the city should start building up instead of out. I'm pretty sure that WoM gave me an aneurysm.
I never understood the way we have to build one thing at a time in these games. Especially in WoM where you had to build a metric fuckload of everything from houses to studies. I don't know if you guys have ever been to a city, I go to one on occasion, but they seem perfectly capable of building multiple shit at the same time. I know it sounds strange to think that people who are in need of building a house on one side of town aren't waiting for the guys on the other

With as much as you post on here they should manually add you to the January 19th beta pool. On a side note I did pre-order the game in late 2009 so I cant wait to get my copy on the 19th Dangit I checked and it looks like I ordered the Collectors editi
I would like to say, first of all, that as much as I would like to enter early, I don't feel in any way that I am entitled to it. I think the schedule that Stardock has presented is perfectly fair and I think it's nice to award those who where there early with preorders. Thanks guys, it's nice to know people think well of me here. But, I'm a big boy, and I can wait the week. I may get jealous and whiny for this week, but I will get through it. [e digicons
Haha, this topic is awesome.
I think it's the 19th if you pre-ordered WoM and a week later if you had WoM in 2010.
I meant: What is to make them "unique"? I believe I understand the concept of how they are made -- but ANYONE can have, say, Redwatch units, or Blades of Whatever, they just have to design them and pay for them (and make sure they have the prereqs for them). Right? Or what am I not understanding?
Oh, okay. I think the idea is that the unit is "unique" to that Factions AI. You, as the pl

I have to wait a whole week! Boo!
Does steam force it? I can turn off automatic updates in steam.
I wish we could just have our Navy SEALs shoot internet pirates too.
I'm one who is quite happy that we humans have the freedom to customize our units and factions as we will. And I am extremely happy that the AI players will have some uniqueness about them. I don't see the problem with humans being able to mix and match unit traits to create their own devious designs. If you are a purist, then don't tweak your units. Simple. Leave the rest of us to enjoy the diversity of unit creation.
Well, if my terrible memory serves me right, in the older versions of WoM, you had to finish a quest to get the raise mountain spell. Any spell that is possible OP should have some degree of difficulty both obtaining and using. I'm sure Kael is way ahead of this.
Is there going to be an option to play the Sandbox with the Elemental world map, the "cannon" map? The map we got with Destineys Embers and the one partially used in the previous campaign? Also, if so, is there going to be an option to play so that the nations and wildlands are starting in their historic spots? That would be super. I want this map, huge, with all kingdoms and empires and wildlands in their historic spot as an option, pretty please!<
I'm always in the mood for good news! [e digicons]:D[/e]
Talking of Star Wars, my guildie mentioned that some people with ATI cards were having some graphic errors, like green lines. But, I've also heard that everyone is having them. I have less trust with ATI since I had problems years ago with a strange stutter step in LOTR and some other off line games.
