I think you've earned a few cards. And I agree, simple feature that is basic and expected in a game like this.

My argument isn't so much about the differences between 3 man and 9 man units. It's more to do with the units and the rest of the game. The heroes and the monsters. I think trying to balance grouped units (9 soldiers) vs a single Hero or a monster. How gear works, attacks, hit points, levels upgrades, are different. It's difficult to balance two systems against each other.
I imagine the beta, since it requires an internet connection, to update automatically.
Should only have one size. And that size should in reality be only cosmetic. Whether 5 or 9 soldiers in that unit, it should be equal to a hero with average stats. This would make balancing the hero, who would have better stats, upgrades and magic be balanced with the units. This would make balancing monsters, heroes, and soldiers easy. I should be in the beta tomorrow and will look at exactly what the game has, but I imagine it's the same old
Quoting Mtrixis, reply 39 Plus the weirdness of the instantly transported resources from half the world away. Yes, we've been asking for local resources since way before the first WoM beta. Food and materials (production) are local now, that's as far as it will go I think. For other resources to become local, they will have to be able to be transported. That would require a massive reworking of the caravan system (not
Giggle.
I know you are probably right. I guess I am worried because I felt that when WoM had the failed launch, they decided to take away features of the game and then fix what was left. To be honest, I felt that what they took out was worth more than they fixed. Can we do a simple change like dynasties and add boats back in?
Boats, are a pretty basic requirement of a TBS game on a terrestrial map. I hate the idea that if something can't be done magnificently, then just cut it completely away. That concept has lost WoM games boats, dynasties, and minor factions, and I don't feel for the better.
Dom3 was pretty well balanced for a game with thousands of units and spells. Great game. I will certainly be looking into this.
This is something that could be done in WoM too. I never really knew what to think of it. I guess it doesn't really hurt anything...just kind of strange.

I wonder whether or not Earth civilizations would have invented boats if we had had Raise land.
I really doubt if they can't figure out how to board a boat, that they can figure out how to orcastrate the massive magical engineering feat to raise land from one continnent to another. But maybe...
I just want boats to move people over water to islands and other continents. I don't need Pirates! with it. WoM already had boats, shores, and harbors. What it didn't have was a way for the AI to use boats too. Right now, that's all I want. I don't need every feature of the game to be fantastic and multi-leveled. I just need it to exist to provide basic function of moving units over water so better and more interesting maps can be used. &nbs
They have never confirmed that boats will never be in FE to my knowledge, merely that they won't be in for release. They could simply be focusing on finishing off the land before worrying about the water. Depending on how they do seafaring it could be mostly just a large content patch to a huge new game-play mechanic requiring an expansion. Once you add boats you need: sea tactical maps, sea monsters, sea quests, sea resources, diffe
No, in Skyrim Online, you don't "fast travel" like you do in the offline game. You have to ride a horse, much like the travel systems in other online games. you go to the stable and then tell the stable boy where you want to go, and then your character jumps on a horse that rides fast, but you have no control of, until you arrive at your destination. Much like LOTR:O.
I find it pretty ridiculous that they don't have boats in the game. I am well aware that it's difficult to code the AI to use them, but still. They should have something. Portals would be good. Units that turn into boats like CiV 5, but limited to using the shores. Fucking Captain Placeholder would even be better. 2012 and we can't figure out TBS boats?
Those are good ideas.
Yay! I'm almost in!
I hate, hate, hate the idea that completely taking away a piece of content, rather than making it good, makes the game better. Especially when the fixes would be pretty easy. It doesn't have to be this major overhaul, it just needs some tweaks.
I thinks it's just another fadtech that I have no interest in, doesn't make games better in any way, and will only work occasionally. Might as well strap a gameboy to my face and induce seizures, a la Virtual Boy. Either way it's just another gimmick and will pass.

I still crash fairly often. But, it still has some bugs, sure. Also, depending on when you last played it, there might less content in it. No boats, no minor factions, less armor. Might as well give it a try yourself.
