Not really a "golden" opportunity...copper maybe? I really doubt they would make a lot of money or open up to a much larger audience from making a linux version
Is this game Campaigns only or is there a sandbox mode? If it's only campaigns, I'm not interested.

He thinks eliminating a vestigial component like slashing resistance is dumbing down. Even though it was a mechanic that was mostly ignored and didn't fit in with the mostly 1 armor set per tier in the tech tree.
That's a neat idea.
I think he meant the Doctors, the guys who ran Bioware, until recently.

Well, D20 and any D&D games limit the number of levels and modifiers for everything. +1 is +5%. Also d20 combat causes a lot of misses, which tends to not be very much fun and doesn't work well with video games especially turn based ones. It just seems very limiting.
It really doesn't have a lot of the things you mentioned from Romance. My name and pic comes from Xiahou Dun, so I'm pretty familiar with those games. FE is closer to Civilizations than it is to Romance. Although in FE you will have a ruler, and some champions, they don't interact with each other, or have any personality at all. In Romance, you could have family, rivals, friends, and sworn brothers. And those things were meanin
I saw this mentioned somehwere else, looks interesting. Although, I find it funny about throwing the "successor to MoM" around all the time. Does every fantasy 4x TBS do this, is it required? Eh, D20 system? Is that really going to work for a game like this?
While death threats and so on are clearly over the top, it can be ignored and brushed off as stupid kids being bored. However, the criticism for ME3, DA2 and so on is more than deserved, though I think EA is to blame more for that than Bioware. Still, they sold themselves out and let it happen.
To a point deserved, but way over blown. I was one to be pretty disappointed with DA2, but if I looked at it
Holy shit, now I can't unsee it either! Poor kitty is sick!
A game in which people are rulers of nations due to their skill in magic, should mean that magic is powerful enough to effect all things. So, if I create a magic focused Sov, in a game about magic wielding Sovs, I should be weaker and unable to defeat powerful creatures without having to also be a great warrior? I've always hated that in games. My Sov should be able to gain power enough to destroy any other creature in the world. This is a game where civilizati
I'm one to either want full, good tactical battles, or none at all. I'm perfectly fine without it. It's bad tactical combat that drives me crazy.
Actually the single unit damage vs champion/sov damage gear is fairly easy to fix, but time consuming. It literally requires two sets of gear to be made for each piece of trainable gear. The question is what should the difference in stats be for single unit Sov/Champ/Hench and regular trained units gear. This affects almost everything. As far as the magic goes for those spells, I am not really for removing them so much
Violence is a tool. If you want to be rid of a behavioral tool, you have to replace it. Flashmobs and bongo drums may help in bringing to light how pervasive the problem is. But it's not going to stop it. People do violence, because violence is a tool that gets them what they want at that moment.
If Stardock thought it would be a good idea to do this, they would have done it. I imagine they chose to go the steam route after some thought.
My problem with the shrink/blind thing is this. If those spells don't work on powerful creatures, then why have the spells at all? Why waste the mana, why even get the ability? Maybe they shouldn't work as well, but to eliminate them from working on boss level monsters makes magic less effective and worthwhile in a game where it should be extremely powerful. It also lessens the tactical/strategic element of the game. As f

Although i suspect it may be harder than you'd think, it probably requires a codebase that
Except that sentiment has absolutely nothing to do with Jon or his success, he's not the bastard child of Sid Meier. He worked and earned the reputation and good will from people in the industry. In fact, it's the exact opposite of this sentiment. He showed skill, was given opportunities based on his skills, and then did well with those opportunities and gained the friendship and respect of people in his industry.
Fuck Dark Wizards.
You got my money. Now I demand ponies for this game too! [e digicons][/e]
Just curious-If we are getting this for free since we supported Elemental by pre-purchasing, does the Legendary Heroes version require FE? Basically I have Elemental, and Elemental FE on impulse-but I really want them on steam. Once I receive a key for steam, it will be the full game (Legendary Heroes + FE) or do I need to have it on impulse where FE is installed? TY!
The LH steam key will be LH+FE.
