Who gives a shit what political party the guys who make my video games are? Really, shit, so fucking ridiculous. I might give a shit if they were crazy Fascist or Nazi or NAMBLA. The world is filled with people who give a shit about the least important crap. Yea, it's amazing just how polarized people get on thi

It's okay Impinc, I have already been that bastard a hundred times over. When the game first came out, there was this crazy part of my mind that was convinced that nobody at Stardock played the game at all before it was released...my rational mind told me that that was impossible and stupid, but as I played it there was this voice in my head that kept saying "Did anyone fucking play this game before it was released?"
I think with the changes planned in 1.3, WoM will be a fun game. I really don't think that the game really needs a lot to be "fun". It just needs to be more interesting and dynamic. And some balance. It looks like they are going to add things and make changes that will help that in 1.3. I might be blindly optimistic and biased, due to being Brad's baby mama, but I really think that 1.3 has the chance of being the WoM I wanted. That's right "I" wanted.
I'm pretty sure everyone else would get it 6 months after release. Not the Random House content. That's only for those who buy the book.
Oh Frog, would it really have killed you to have added the phrase, "Lord Xia was right" to this post? It wouldn't cause me to stalk you or something crazy. I mean, how much more stalking could I do? I'm already in y
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I highly recomend anyone who is interested in an extremly deep dynasty system to get this game. My favorite thing was to start as the count of Ulster and eventually become the King of Ireland.

Brad! Tell Hevenfall he's wrong and that I'm right and you love me more!
Stardock doesn't own this content, Random House does. So you will probably never get it if you can't get the book.
Brad! Started making my game yet?
He did mention the 300 page Dom3 manual. I remember getting that huge thing and reading it like it was the bible and I was an ex junkie who just found Jesus. The game had a simple demo that let you learn the basic mechanics, and the book had strategies for each nation. Yes, Dom3 three is complex, but it also came with a great guide.
Awesome! Really looking forward to it. Any chance on another novel?
It would have some RPG elements too. You would design your CEO(for lack of better name right now) with certain roles. Maybe he is the true business man, or maybe he's a pirate, or maybe he's a tech genius, or maybe a super mechanic and can fix and repair any old derelict? He would then build a crew, like in Pirates. Eventually, he would delegate some bases or ships to his subordinates. You have to get materials to build your new shi
I like everything you have stated, except "b". Simply because I am not familiar with that game. I know of it, but never played it. Timed quest, Fallout was good about that. Wait too long, and you either fail or make it real difficult to succeed. Actually, ME2 had that feature on the main quest. I like the reputation? Ever accidently kill a kid in Fallout? Man, that really stuck with you.
And if you go the corporate route, you could advertise your ships! Maybe a mediocre ship could get good sales from a great ad campaign? So many ideas...
I had something in mind like the East India Company. And playwise, something like Pirates! There are big nations out there and you could adopt several roles, and ally yourself with any or none of the major powers. You could have bases. You would deal with all types of groups, search for rare Precursor technology, design and build ships for selling and to use for your own gain and profit.
I think Fallen chicks should have ghetto booties. As we don't have anything but flat butt white human chicks, all nations are white, and I like big butts, and I cannot lie.
Ooh, SR2020 multi player session, that sounds fun. When I play alone, I always play as Kansas, my homeland... We can participate? Like ask questions? Will Fallen Enchantress have ponies? Will Frogboy ever come visit the child he and I made together?(I stole a baby and stapled a picture of Brad on it).
What? I hardly ever see any Western RPGs out any more.
Right. Maybe if you get a contract, the Civ or entity you are working with will give you a framework with to build, they want this size, this type of look, and must meet these specs for this price, and if you can make it better and cheaper per unit, you get a bonus. And, maybe the game could have a way to judge how good a ship "looks", not just preforms to certain groups. Each race would like a different style, different types of weapons and armor.&nbs
I'm Sure people give you tons of bad ideas all the time, but this isn't just another bad idea, this is a bad Lord Xia idea!!! I was playing GalCiv2 the other night and thinking about what was really fun about that game and what I like in games in general. I like to build things. And the Ship builder in that game gives me endless amounts of fun. Where these thoughts led me, is this. A GalCiv game where you are not a nation, but a b
I would love a NWN2 style, Elemental game. Would be awesome. I think there is a lot of interesting things that could be done in the game. the Novel had a lot of cool things in it, I know the world in the game is bland, but the ideas are there to make it interesting. And Please, no or little voice acting. Why? Because Voice acting is expensive and ultimately limits the games depth and choices. It would be awesome if we could someday have a Western RPG
I payed more for Dominions 3 than for any other computer game. And felt it was worth every cent and then some. I think if you have a niche game, that may have crappy graphics, but is incredibly deep, its fine to charge $60 bucks for it. Dominions 3 might be the best strategy games of all time. Although that might be a rare exception, I think most middle market games should be priced down, $20-$40 sounds right.
Few companies have given me as much joy as Paradox, and I'm certain no other companies games have taken more time out of my life. I buy 10x as many "middle market" games than AAA games. If the gaming industry were reduced to just casual games and AAA games, I might have to find a new hobby. There simply are not enough AAA games out there for a gamer like me to keep me interested. Oh, and I don't play casual games. I play Hardcore Moth
Well, I have all the Baldur gates, all the Fallouts, Torment, Arcanum, the Neverwinter Nights games, blah blah blah...And I still like DA2. Are there things I would change about it? Yes. Mainly gear. There is one good set per act and all the other gear is just fluff while you wait to find the pieces of the set. And you can't gear up your companions. I miss being a dwarf or Elf too.
I like the Romance of the Three Kingdom way. 1. Sov Dies 2. There is a council with your heirs and champions. (Now, in these games, the generals each had different personalities, some were stubborn, some ambitious, loyal, etc). And they would express their opinions on who should take over the Kingdom. Some times they were united, some times there were rival factions, usually the oldest child of the Sov had the most support. You as
