Minor factions. First, instead of taking the last one out, put them all back in. Second, Put their Sov inside of the freaking city. Third, Make the City un-raze-able. Fourth, instead of it being a "city" make it a special spot like a city that can produce troops and sell special items. Fifth, these troops are not designed, they are like darklings or dragons, they are what they are, but they reflect the minor civ. The Orekeepers have a specia

The game isn't basically dead...it's just in the last stages of it's coma, it's about to wake (1.2) and then it's going to go through some physical therapy (1.3) and it will be back out on the playground in no time!

I was thinking about how many have spoken about losing faith in Stardock and specifically, Elemental War of Magic. I tried to think of encouraging words, but I decided that instead of using my own words, I would adapt a famous speech from the past. So, I have adapted the majestic Clark W. Griswold speech from Vacation when his family lost hope in Wally World. "I think you're all fucked in the head. We're ten weeks from the fucking fun patch 1.3, and you wanna

Dominions 3 is a great game. And yea, there are games that last a very long time becasue if you have 16 players and turns that are taken only ever 2 days or so, you've got games that last for months and months. Hell, they often take a few weeks just to set up. Now, that being said, if you got a group of friends and dedicated a day to the game, you could do a game in a day.

Yea, there was Merlin and Merlin's Aprentice. I liked them both, but a lot of people didn't like the second one. I liked it more I think.
Sins Xia, is it worth the $50? I'm a long time fan of the series and that looked interesting.
Sims Medieval? I got it at Target for $40, I think it's just worth that for me. Honestly, I would look into forums and websites and get a lot of opinions before getting it. I like doing Quest, and I like building little towns. But, you have very few of the options of

Thats a good idea, about saving as a scenario. One of the awesome things about Crusader Kings, is that you can save the game, then star up as any other ruler. In one game, the Turkish Sultanate leader died, and his closest heir was a Christian. This made them a Christian nation and playable. I stopped, and saved the game and switched rulers and saved that game, and I play from that save start all the time. I use to have a ton of saves

Right now? I am playing a ton of MP Dominions 3. Some of these games might take all year to finish. I am also playing Sims Medieval. Yea, yea, it's Sims, but it's kind of fun. Wish it had more options and was more open-ended. More Sim3 options, like aging.

No, the AI reacts to the size and strength of the unit, if they believe them stronger they try and run away, if weak, they will attack. It wiorks. As for the name, yea you couldn't call it Sun Tzu, but the idea is the same.

I use GamerGate, but I don't get why he thinks it's so superior to Steam or Impulse. That CEO, whatshisname, came across quite dickish.

Wait and see, wait and see. Yes, I think we would have all preferred that Stardock kept control of Impulse, because most of us trust Brad and Stardock. Well, as much as geeks trust corporate pigs in monkey suits[e digicons][/e] . But, we should also respect why Brad sold it. He wants to concentrate on making the games he likes. Not sell them. So, I am going to thank Brad for developing Impulse and showing the business world that you can create a DD sys

Today is my birthday! And as the diva that I am, I demand cake! I demand pony rides! I demand magic tricks! I demand party hats! But no fucking clowns! I hate clowns! I'm 31 today! Can you believe someone who seems sooo immature made it to his 30's without some one killing me? What do I get for my birthday? I get to have a meeting with my supervisor! Woot!

The impulse deals have been like crack to me...I don't really wait for anything in particular, but if a good daily sale pops up, I snag it. I have sooo many games that have never been played, but how I can I pass up games for $4!!! I wonder if Gamestop will continue that sort of thing? Didn't even think of that till now... :(

No. He is posting in a passive aggressive manner, it is not polite, it is gilded hostility. He expresses his opinions as facts with a raging sense of entitlement. I responded to it in a manner that it deserved.

That's fair. Although I don't agree about the Bioware stuff entirely. After being purchased by EA, I just don't consider Bioware, Bioware any more. I know that's nerd-rage fanboi hyperbole and overly dramatic, but I AM a nerd, so that is how I feel :(

What a load of horse shit. Yes, the game was bad when it was released. Yes they hired a great staff to work on Elemental. They are making patch 1.2 and 1.3 at the same time and making the stand alone FE which you will get for free, even though you are an ungrateful demand-o-bot. As for you paying their salary? Are you fucking kidding me? Unless this is another one of Brad's accounts, you are delusional. $50 does not entitle you to a video

Also, I just thought of something to bitch about, so I'm going to Some of the races in the game, "Men", "Trogg", "Mancers" etc.. have a lot of clothing options, while others have very little. But what I'm bitching about it the incredible amount of time it took to design those clothing options that are almost never actually seen in the game vs how little was done for Armor and how

I know I can mod in gnomes as it is now. I've actually modded in Goblins and Gnomes already. You can mod a nation of black people too. But, I hate the response to things to be "make a mod". The game should be made with a certain level of interesting nations, people and races already. And having the option to go into the game files and being able to change skin colors or height is nice, but not as nice as simply having the option in the faction creator to chang
