You know... Reading this introduction made an idea scream in my head... It's most likely way over the top but man if you guys could pull that one off.... /dream mode on Make exploring a tactical 3D experience adding a whole new layer to the game like X-Com: UFO Defense had (has I guess)... Maybe these guys would be willing to sell the tactical engine: http://ufo.ufo-extraterrestrials.com/ <p
Jup agreed, i had about 20 of them if not more running around fully equipped with elemental armor, the works and the 5000 guidlar sword. Everytime a baby grew up, katsjing here's your 21st birthday present, 15k worth of armor and goodies. Just promise to stay away from parties with Paris... Also seems 10 crystals is worth 1 elemental if you design troops that require elemental. The rarity of the resources is a great idea in concept if it stimulates resource strategic alli

Pizza tycoon is closest I can come up with.... While on that subject... Theme Hospital still is an awesome game and free nowadays (source released by original dev and even helped the community create a multiplayer patch). "Dr. Spikey, Dr. Spikey Emergency room pleaaaaaaaaaase".
Meh, the later the annoucement the more will be packed into 1.2! Hope it'll be another month or so!

With regards to getting up to speed a little, the campaign is somewhat of a tutorial and may help you a little bit. But note that the game is a lot more fun and has way more features in the sandbox mode. Main things to consider are: -. it's all about the tech rush, which means getting as fast and often as possible newer techs researched. -. some techs unlock new resources on the world, extra food resources are unlocked in the adventure research tree. -. you can't marry
1.2 should fix at least the oom crashes, just out of curiousity reading that you are extremely lazy, you did update the game to 1.11 right? As a side note a crash reporting option like MS uses (and I believe impulse has too) would make crash reporting a lot easier.
-. ability to warn/threaten (ie piss off from my borders, dont you dare build that settlement there), to let faction you view something as hostile action. -. ability to trade researched techs, spells -. ability to share arcane production as with tech production (and ability to cross share; i.e. my tech boost for your arcane boost) -. alliance should mean share it all (knowledge and los wise) -. ability to break an alliance at great expense (all factions dr
Especially Altar seems to be addictted to spam cities next to your borders and repeat that if that city has grown a little bit to the point it can build a new settlement, heh it sometimes even parks a pioneer ready to start the settlement for 50+ turns. It would be more logical that if a city is getting swamped by another city its influence should tople ownership of the city with everything inside it. Also the AI should not be building near to another influence zone (say 5 squ
I use 1 very strong password for every forum and game login (not bank). Remembering 50 passwords is for the birds. I might just try that LastPass. Ok, so you beat the AI 1v1 on ridiculios by rushing them. Basicly means AI is vulnerable to rushing, but I'm guessing you would have been too. Are you able to sit out 100 seasons peacefully and then start the war and still win? I think the latter is what Brad meant in his statement (that you took up as a challenge). Props for indentifying two issues though, equipement and rushing vulerability. Maybe the game could spawn all villiagers as peons/peasants if attacked before turn
I'm finding the whole shop interface very tedious, can't see what the hero has without going in or out of the shop and i'm clicking like a maniac often ending up with double items/missing one or two later in the game. Suggestions; 1. let me design equipement sets from the shop that can be bought in the shop so that i only have to click once and confirm it if I want to buy that full set. 2. Let me view what my hero has on him in the same screen/shopping interface.<
Ok, sadly I'm finding the AI at normal is acting more like I would expect an AI to behave on easy. Judging from what I've seen the AI plays at his best whilst not cheating (other then them all starting with a spouse/wife and all starting to lay eggs err make children without having the tech). My strategy is to build few cities but build good ones, focus on strong tech production whilst beelining to housing upgrades in order to expand the cities then reshift focus to warfare and beelin
Meh the campaign is a dumbed down version of the real game anyway, forget about it and enjoy where the fun and real game is; in the sandbox mode.
You know what, given that I find myself playing waaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer per session as planned I'm saying its getting there. There is a lot that needs work/polish/love/extension but it'll get there. I find the game similar to release level of galciv2 now minus some polish.
Personally I don't like having monsters at every level because overall it makes the monster less interesting. I don't want to see the mid to late game monsters in the early game because then it isn't as cool when you see them in the late game. The real fix for me is to make sure you see those monsters in the late game (sometimes they never show up or they are way to late) which is the issue I want to address. [/quot
1.1 allowed me to unload troops fine (on beaches in the campaign never tried it in sandboxmode), but do note there is a restriction of the amount of troops that can get into a boat that isnt checked... If you cant get them out try selecting one unit inside the ship and right click him onto the beach. ps. lol at the teleport bug
errrr 1.1d is a non-supported version, aka private build, aka use at your own peril is it not? Prolly better to cross post your feedback to the private build thread.
Heh, date/season thing is cool... Allthough humans do seem to get very old in my games... hehehe
1.1 comes out tomorrow night supposedly, though it sounds like it's largely the AI fixes over the holidays+ maybe some other stuff.
err 1.1 has been out for a while? Or did you meant to say 1.11?
