I always feel that I need at least 5 extra levels when leveling up any hero or sovereign. Honestly, investing essence on heroes is too much! investing extra points for HP is too much, There should be a mechanic to gain essence. Perhaps visiting a shard for the first time gives a permanent bonus of 4 essence or something like that ala Heroes of might and magic. Please just hand out a few fixed bonus stats per level. O
Since I'm fresh right out of Book 1, Is there an extra mechanic to get more essence in v1.01? Or you just spend lvl up points in it like we did in the beta?
I'm also happy with it, but more happy with the huge potential this game has for the future. People must realize that the game as it is right now is just naked. There is potential for at least 4 expansions across many years. I hope stardock walks that path instead of producing EwoM:2.
I really can't believe that someone managed to build something like that in such a short notice. My full support for your efforts. Yes we can do the same stuff with xml, but this is a game, I write xml for a living, I wouldn't like to do it when playing. However Custom faction editor MUST be in the game regardless of your good and hasty work, otherwise a lot of people including me will be very unhappy and
In the campaign I tried to load my stack of doom, on a ship. Sovereign plus groups of archers, groups of hammer men, and some other solo units, including janusk. I was expecting something along the lines "not enough capacity for all units" But I tried cause I didn't know what the transport capacity was anyway cause that wasn't listed anywhere (that's also another issue) To my amazement the stack moved in the water, but then it couldn't move anywhere else but back on land or beach. Refund? Are you mad?
You mean it's just Book 1? I thought it would be at least 3-4 books...
Quoting endofdayz, reply 7Game had to be rushed out the door for some reason soo... no race creation Don't make me come over there. The beta had faction creation. We decided to remove it and move it into modding where it can get proper treatment. I'm really not in the mood for endless trolling in various thread. Consider yourself warned.
I understand that you could do many things
... with all the trolls, ... with all the lurkers comming out of their closets, ... with all the whining, What makes the internet go round? It's one thing: Drama. People will NEVER be happy or content with any piece of work, just stroll over to SC2, WoW or any other game forum and have a look. This points to one thing: ppl have too much free time. Perhaps it would be better if the Drengin empire invaded us af
Keep up the good work!! But just so we understand one another: You must construct additional PYLONS!!!!! MOAR PYLONS...
quoting posthttps://forums.elementalgame.com/386513 This astounds me. This guy basically claimed that it is his *CONSTITUTIONAL* right to steal intellectual property from game developers. I know some people on this forum go absolutely apeshit on almost anything the government does but why is it in anyway bad that the american government is protecting honest businessowners from pirates? <b
Some people depend on the meager income they make from selling their work in order live, and people who illegally post copyrighted material on other sites in my opinion are lower than than lowest life form on this planet. They are the scum of the Earth, and I hope they rot in hell! Wonderful, now how about the guy with the rootkit CD's he can't transfer to his computer without cleaning the crap back out of th

What you have in western countries is a rapidly expanding power base in copyright and patent based industries. The big companies have had our politicians bought and paid for for decades now, so they've been steadily expanding "rights" over time. The original intent was to reward someone for an idea by giving them exclusive control long enough to reach market satu
I got my sovereign and 5-7 footmen units moving around. On each and every single tile they move there's about 1 second delay just before the "step" is done. This happens both on the cloth map and zoomed in.
I'm going to work now, so I don't have the time to follow this up! I hope that at least something was understood from my posts, bye for now...
Am I allowed to say that stardock understands this as well? or am I being too omnipotent again... Yes...you can say that. Stardock knows its industry, and clearly better than some of the commenters here who have a fantasy model of commerce. It's probably wise to remember that gaming may be a business...but business isn't a game. While a game producer is 'hooking him up' all the people who financially BENEF
This is also how stardock works, all of their games are on torrent sites with everything else, just search, I don't see them shutting down cause of piracy, instead they are growing. Also, fun fact: when Sins came out, a bunch of us were sending torrent links to Yarlen, who would (probably with help) dig up info on the seeder and send a C&D. In a couple of cases they got their home addresses on 'em, it was great fun. In

Once your friendly pirate has that game...he's not going to spend shitloads legitimately on updates....he's going to move on
Yes they didn't pay but, they will play it, they will enjoy it, and they will advertise it to their friends, and guess what, I as a gaming studio I will make tons of money out of them, cause a pirated copy is not the full deal. Yes, because someone who easily downloaded it for free is going to tell his friends to pay for it, instead of giving them the same link. That's totally how it works in the real world, not just in your head.<br
Any questions? Yes, which part of 'piracy is theft' did you not understand? Your user base didn't pay for the game, so the developer didn't have any income from their work. That's what happens when something is stolen.
Do you have any real arguments? Sure...plenty, however there's an entry exam oft called an IQ test. It tends to disqualify pirates and their proponents...
Oh come on, please disclose your arguments.
in fact for small companies making software, it has been proven that piracy is "free" advertisement OK...as long as it 'has been proven' then we are all well and good. People can now rest assured that the world is wonderful. Don't slash your wrists or get into a hissy-fit....it's proven. Life is good. Jafo goes off to that happy place where piracy is good for you. Shit. It does

It's a sad fact of life I think we'll always face as a Species until we are ALL United under One Common Goal or Leader. What we really, Really, Need....is for the Earth to be Invaded by Aliens. I know that sounds "stupid"
My GOD this is a sad moment in the history of the internet. Once more the rich guys won, and managed to "bribe" the government into taking action... for the benefit of their pockets so sad :( Coming up next, microphones will be installed into all US bathrooms, just whistling the new blockbuster song will get you sued for IP violation... Oh and jaffo and stardock have nothing to be happy about, these people "work" for the big guys like vive
