I agree, as I would have much preferred the character cards to all be done with the illustrated look, as opposed to the rendered 3D model. I'm not entirely sure why, but the illustrated cards just look so much better to me. A bit more epic in feel I think.

Evanescent, you do not know me, so do not presume to think that I am defending anyone with "blind" dedication. I made no such statement. They stated that the game was unfinished in hindsight. They thought the game was ready for release, ergo they released the game. All I did was merely state the facts to the best of my knowledge. Elemental has flaws, zomg. They'll be fixed in time. Probably .. Did we deserve to get a complete(PC games are only complete when patc

Lacko, you should do a bit more research my friend. The reasons why NA is the focus has been made perfectly clear in previous posts by Frogboy himself. As for the gamer's bill of rights..Well, it is up to the viewing individual to determine what a "finished" product is, and is not. Since I know you do not speak for everyone, as I am someone who paid for the LE and am quite happy with what I got, and will be getting (future updates will do for this game what they've done for the other Stardock

Awesome patch! The game plays far more smoothly now..aside from I actually crash to desktop every now and then..Which didn't happen before, but that is fine, I'm certain you guys will fix that issue asap... [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] However, about the discussion that has been going on about shards and such, in one of my previous games I had many, many water shards, and my abilities related to them never did much beyond the range of 0-39 points of damage. Great list. However..I'd like to add my own ideas to the pile you already have. On my mind right now is primarily the marriage/children system. I think it would be a bit more interesting if you were able to "specialize" your children by schooling them in either warfare(special attacks, like Crushing Blow [e digicons]O:)[/e] ), politics(granting royalty perhaps), or have them get other bonuses. Now granted that how good these benefits are should still be random and/or based off of

Awesome stuff! Btw..I found something you guys at Stardock might want to consider putting into the patch. It is rather game-breaking.. If you use the spell "Confuse" on a creature several times, it increases the creatures attack power and thus..I could turn an imp with 5 attack power and 5 CR into an imp with 4k Attack power..and get like five thousand gold at the end of the fight. I had thought something was fishy when I defeated a dragon and got 11,000 gold ~ ~

I love it. The Gold version is sexy as hell imo. I really enjoy the tactical battles! The camera following the archer's arrow / spells is neat. I enjoyed the intro to the game as well, though I miss that one you had before that was early 90's style..I enjoyed that one too.

I'm actually buying Elemental primarily for its multiplayer potential. Don't get me wrong, I plan on playing the hell out of the single player, as I still play GalCiv2 and Sins regularly, so I'm a big fan of sandbox, but right now my friends and I are really excited for the prospects of what Elemental could mean for our D&D crew. Also, as far as playing MP against "strangers", we most likely will not. We play enough strangers in DoTA and LoL, so Elemental can be us against the AI, and we'

Groovy. Though I have a question about one of the screenshots..Where the soldier is wielding a shield & sword and seems to be gripping with both hands to attack. I had noticed this in beta as well, that I could equip a claymore and a shield on the same unit. I was curious if that is as is intended or no? But either way, it is a good read. In my opinion, what keeps a game going is several different variables. The AI is always important for those of us who prefer a reliable (the comp can't drop out mid-game) challenge. Mods are also probably the greatest extender of playability in a given game. As for MP, that too is vital for a games longevity, however no one will care if the core game itself is terrible. As was used in a post above, NWN1 wasn't a terrible game. It was all kinds of awesome. Also, as far a

I completely agree. I found it to be rather irritating when my caravans would be destroyed (their location, be it in my own lands or not is irrelevant imo) by roaming creatures with a threat rating of only 5...To be able to assign a patrol to go with the caravans would be a nifty little feature, and perhaps a screen to show which caravans were destroyed. I've had several different routes leading to one of my larger cities, and some of the roads were shared with other caravans, and when one or

I agree with Nemesis7884, the sheer amount of treasure that would continually spawn around my city was mind-bending. There was just too much treasure, and I'm pretty sure I found like 10 swords from the different level 4 drake skeletons. I think the items at the low level of adventuring should be the generic swords, and have the more and far rarer nifty items be found on the higher level points of interest. I did find a dungeon that allowed me to go into a tactical battle, and that was rather

[quote who="Kazriko" reply="37" id="2672858"]I found the GalCiv minor races to be at the mercy of the player, but not because they lack magic or couldn't expand. Rather, they had excellent economies and produced decent enough ships. The problem was more that they suffered from many crippling bugs in their implementation. One thing I tried to do several times in GalCiv2 was to utilize the minor races in a proxy war against the majors and test out my new ships. The problem was that the minor ra

I like the idea. As you mentioned above, the minor races in GC were entirely at the mercy of the player..usually the AI in most of my games, as I liked having as many factions around as possible, to keep things organic and interesting. What I'd really like to see is that the minor factions not only have teeth, but claws too! Kinda in the same spirit as Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, the minor races in that game were rather..scary. Go to Eden and declare war, I dare ya! I double dare you.

I prefer fixed, as has been stated above by Raven, the units become pewter pieces once you zoom out to the cloth map anyway. However, in the interest of harmony within the community, the option to turn on/off scaling may be the best choice. Either way, I would play with fixed scaling if given the choice.

Interesting Choices : I like the idea of being able to build anywhere, though perhaps a penalty is in order for doing so on less-than-favorable soil? And the idea of pioneers being required for cities after the founding of the kingdom/empire is also pretty solid imo. NPCs : I think it should come down to the intelligence of the creature in question. If it is something that is capable of understanding us, we should be able to have it join
