One more question. I take it current mods will be unable to work with LH, any chance the new game is going to have some upgraded modding tools and/or mod selection upgrades?

This sounds great! Can I get one clarification also please? Those of us getting LH for free (via the pre-order of WoM) will be getting it via Steam as a whole separate game? Meaning I can leave my current FE installation through Stardock installer alone, also install LH via Steam, and have both available to play at anytime??? Hope that is what you are saying, because that sounds perfect! Either way, bring it on!!!
I wouldn't mind this back, IF, and this is a big if, there was someway to have it balanced. I can't see how being able to churn out children is not going to unbalance the game completely. I'd love to hear some ideas about it though.
I notice in your latest archive a file named configuration.femm. This isn't mentioned in the installation instructions. Was it intended for installation by users?
That file is how the mod manager knows how to correctly install this mod. You should see a similar file in every mod that is set to use the mod manager.

On another topic I just picked up Gal Civ I&II for $14.99 on Steam...I felt that was a no brainer. WoM can be fun, FE IS better, in so many ways I can't begin to post them all here, but hey, its proably going for $5 or so somewhere online...
You can still buy bo
Thanks for the excellent thought provoking post! Really hope the devs don't miss this post. As a couple other posters said, don't agree 100% with everything, but it certainly provides food for thought.

Glad your doggie is OK. On the plus side, does this qualify for being a polar plunge member??
Java serves a useful function and doesn't have any major issues that I am aware of, so why are some people so freaked out about Java of late anyway?
Not really freaked out, it was more I was just sicking of seeing the updates all the time, and started wondering about whether I really need it. So far, I have seen zero (not close to zero, but actual zero) programs I use requiring it. This may change in the future of course, and

Umm.. yeah "race" and and not "type" as HF says :)
You are looking for monster type "beast." Prior to battle click on the army/unit you are attacking. Now click on the picture in the lower left of your screen. You can look at all the details of the units, including the "type."
Only because you need Java to see that sentence displayed.
lol, fair enough. I can re-phrase that to, nothing I have tried running since has failed to launch and run.

Just asking.
So far I have yet to have anything tell me: "Hey, you need Java to run this!" on either my laptop or home desktop. Use a bit different line of things on my work desktop, hence having not tried it there yet.
So, I've been deleting Java slowly off my computers: my laptop about 3 months ago, my home desktop about 3 weeks ago, and probably my work desktop later this week. So far everything has been smooth sailing. Just wondering if anyone has any input on this... any pitfalls I'm not aware or should be on the lookout for?
On my way to pick it up at the post office right now. Can't believe after 20 years (since I started reading it, bit longer if you were there from the get go I believe) this series is finally over!
Not super important, but maybe some type of confirmation that the mod manager is done working would be good. Don't get me wrong, I haven't had any issues, but I could see someone who is a bit impatient trying to start before the MM is done working.
Yeah, kinda sounds similar to how Dropbox works on iOS devices, so this may be aimed at tablets maybe??

I would have given 5 out of 5 after my first 10 hour play session, but as you play more, you notice the balance and AI issues.
The thing is, there are some seriously low reviews for the same exact reason (not enough play time.) These are the reviews crying, it's too hard, there is no depth, blah, blah.

If you don't see a monument you can take from someone else, and you do have a dragon lair just waiting for some influence to use, that would seem the best cho
