I didn't switch out hard drives but I did install to two different drives at different times between messing around. I believe it takes a look at whole system and gives it some value, and then looks to see if it differs from that value. (Strictly guessing here!)
I know productivity tools (MS Office and Libre/Open Office) are useful to alot if not most computer users. But there is a group of us that have reached a point in life that can say 'Nope, don't have a need for that', and a smile usually comes across our face when we say it.
[e digicons][/e] Seems like it "says something" that somebody saw enough of a need to sit and write a utility to put a leash on Win10. I'm wondering if they'll be able to keep up with the patches. Thanks for the post.
Shouldn't really be that big of a deal. Those settings are all in the Windows10 settings menus, this tool is just aggregating them all in one spot for ease of use.</
Once you have run Windows 10 on your machine it is supposed to be tied to that machine for the life of the machine (for the free version anyway) Unless you make any major hardware changes, you can just skip the steps for entering in reg numbers during install and it will show as activated. I'd imagine if you make some change that messes that up you can probably call MS and complain and get it re-done for a new setup. I'd guess you can't do that often though. <p
So far, great!! So MANY choices! Seems like you really streamlined the install as well.
Right on time? ;) (edit: just to be clear this was a joke on your "late" and "early" posts, and not your delivery time of the mod!!) Seriously, thanks for another beautiful update to a great mod. Gonna give it a try now.
Good stuff, as usual. Thanks!
That was fast! Thanks Derek!
Caddy was only $8.49. Not bad. It works flawlessly. I now have the SSD I took from another PC, for the OS drive, and a 1 TB drive in the caddy replacing the optical, for storage. Faceplate from the optical went on just fine, so it looks just like it came from Dell.
That is awesome, sounds like a worthy upgrade for my old HP laptop.
I just bought another MS Natural Keyboard 4000 from amazon about 2 weeks ago. It's not wireless, but it is awesome. I have them installed on all 3 of my desktops now. Think it was $45.00. I'll find the amazon link right now... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SUIM4E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
Derek, Just wondering if this is something that got fixed? Not seeing it happen in the first couple games I have been playing around with. If so, thanks!
They did say to ask around the forums, but I specifically asked towards the beginning if they were going to release any documentation and he said he would, because he had documentation given to those who helped write some of the quests. For example, it's hard to know how to write a quest and have the sorcerer king get upset when you start throwing up multiple outposts when you don't know what the trigger i
It also doesn't absolve the fact that they said they'd post documentation and haven't.
I could be wrong, but I thought they said just ask around the forums. I'd have to go back and watch again to be sure. I doubt they have any intention of posting any sort of documentation. It has always been an un-supported type of thing, with the addition that they will throw in some advice and help on occasion.
Found some of the new abilities that don't work with trained units. I did some testing, and have laid out the results below, broken down per trait not working. I hope I have given enough detail for checking it out. If not, I also have save games with the custom unit that I can send in. The save games are played in a quick style which was centered specifically on testing and the units are named so that they stand out. Please note this was tested for trained units only and not for c
Thanks for the great update. While the Stamina concept adds a boost of fresh air, I'm especially amazed by the AI's new tactical behavior. AI units are no longer immobilized by adjacent player units and will still move around to strike a preferred target. Well done.
I'm willing to bet that is some of the stuff they backported from SK. Certainly is great to see this update, and an updat
Right click on the task bar and click properties does the same thing. And the hot corners are one thing JC, its swiping or sliding your cursor along the right side that can bring it back up.
Mine won't do anything while trying that. I have tried with both mouse button held and not held. Also, there is a section in Start8 that has options related to the Charms bar as well. It's located in the "Desktop" tab.</p
Found where I turned that stuff off: Right click on desktop. Select "Personalize" In lower left, select "Taskbar and Navigation" In next window, select the "Navigation" tab. Change stuff in that tab to suit needs. The only things I have checked are: "When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to the desktop instead of Start" "List desktop apps first in the Apps view when it's sorted by category" &n

Ah nice. Does that work even in desktop mode, or only in Modern view? If so, then that is why i don't see it, never see the modern view ever. If not that, then perhaps I was able to kill it with Stardock's Start8?? Will have to look into this when I get home.
What is the Charms bar exactly? I use Win8.1 on my home desktop, and it looks exactly like Win7 while running.
[Solved] Ended up just forcing through the Ubuntu install on 2nd hard drive (/dev/sdb in ubuntu), got that working just fine. Somewhere during that I accidentally deleted the main partition on /dev/sda (my Win10 install), so I ended up having to reinstall windows. That was mainly due to inexperience with the gparted UI. LOL, it is a quick, dangerous tool! ;) After the windows install, it looked like windows had reset the partitions on my second drive, bu
Seeing a new issue. ZoC borders disappear, but quitting LH and reloading fixes the issue. Don't ever remember seeing this happen before.
So, how is opera these days?

So far what I've seen of Win10, I don't love. I don'
