Yes. Otherwise, dual booting is child's play. But with Win10, as with Win8, you may need to go into bios and allow for booting to CD\DVD\USB. Some PCs have a certain key to press on startup. mine is F12. To access the boot mode.
Yeah, I've been into the BIOS and can access the boot menu (F11 on this particular machine), so booting to the ubuntu dvd is
Sort of an active backup. Do work on one and the other duplicates it. Very not bad. Thanks
While fairly accurate, there is a typical * to that statement. Raid 1 should not be treated the same as backing up, as it is really only good for one specific function, the breakdown of one drive. Timeliness to getting back up and running is about all it provides. In case of fire, it's all gone, in case of virus, it
Isn't a raid configuration used to make them mimic each other or to just operate in tandem. Now you're making me curious.
With two hard drives they are typically in either Raid 0 mode (speed mode) or Raid 1 mode (data security.) With Raid 0 if you lose one, you've lost everything, as they are combined together, with Raid 1, they are an exact copy of each other, so if you lose 1 and then replace it, the Raid
bluedxca93 : Not sure if this changes your advice or not, but it appears my motherboard does not have UEFI. I should have made that more clear in the original post, instead it looks like I said that it does not have a way to disable UEFI. I'm thinking that it may not matter with your other method. I know there is some smart people hanging out on this board, hoping one of you can help with this. Here is the situation: I have an extra computer that was running Win7 Pro x64. I have since upgraded that to Windows 10 Pro, and then after that, went through and did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Everything good so far. Mostly. The computer was running Win7 with the hard drives in a Raid 1 setup. Windows 10 didn't seem to respect that, and installed on one drive only. T
Thanks guys! [e digicons][/e] It's unlikely I'll remove the Cooldown for all Tactical Abilities (At the moment I'm using Stamina only, but I'm currently going through the Stamina-based Tactical Abilities to see which one need a small Cooldown on top of it). In other words, XtraDeconstruct 2.0 will most likely introduce an hybrid system of Cooldown/Stamina to prevent the tur
Glad you're sticking with it Primal! I was a bit worried that throwing the new mechanic in there would throw off your desire to upgrade.
I also did a save at this point, so if you'd like to have that, I can send it to you as well.
So, some very early thoughts: -So far I like the new stamina mechanic. -You changed the turn button! Nice job!! Now turns a bit yellow letting you know both with the color and mouse-hovering over the button with a tool-tip that there is an idle city. Combine that with the Zzz near the city list and that is pretty well set. -Still weird pathing issue. I had a unit immediately to the northwest of a city. I selected two units within the city and then right
Also obvious thing to do - let maul consume 1 stamina each strike, and stop on zero stamina even after successful hit.
Excellent idea, and it makes great logical sense as well. Bonus!
The more (and closer) I read this list, the more excited I am. This is actually a lot more than I had hoped for. I really appreciate you guys putting the work in on this.
Hot damn! Love that you went through the forums and updated a bunch of the older threads that were reports of some of the things in this list as well. Can't wait to see this! Thanks!!

All are fairly easy to address but would make a serious difference especially for one that are bugs or "missing" that strategy gamers come to expect like population growth stats. 1. Mods enabled? Did you slay the monsters within their territory? (Not a requirement listed, but there is a bug that makes that a requirement for the area to clear, perhaps that messes with achievements as well?)
As far as I have understand the upgrade process from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10, you don't get a key, nor is your key invalidated. You need to log into your Microsoft account that you made for Windows 8 or make one if upgrading from Windows 7.
Hope that's not exactly the case. I never created a microsoft account for my one Windows 8 install. I simply made a local account so t
