Thank you, but I'm afraid that I do not understand either reply. I cannot "continue" after completing the final quest; after completing it, you are dumped to the main menu, and clicking "continue" simply loads the last save game (e.g. just before ending). Kryo, how can I see if the game is installed correctly? I installed the Game of the Year Edition; I am not sure what you mean by launcher, do you mean the main menu? There is nothing there to check, it appears.... THanks tons

Hello all, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition was one of the things I purchased on sale at play.com last september. Got around to playing it and like it very much. Today, I finished the Main Quest -- and hence, what appears to be the game. I had imagined that because I had the Game of the Year Edition, with all 5 add-ons, I would be prompted after game completion to load those scenarios. But I can't. I don't know what I should do. In the main game menu, the section "Download"

>>> Most of the excitement in the Elemental universe has been about Fallen Enchantress. But War of Magic continues to move forward too, albeit in a different direction. Are you saying that this mechanic is not being implemented in FE, but only in WoM? Just curious, that would be interesting. I'm looking forward to see how this change will work out, it surely looks promising! I do believe, however, that making more incentives for fewer cities (and disincentives for m

While I think I won't be spending much time oogling chasms if the gameplay has me engaged, this looks nice. Could be noted that Fallout3 (for example) took place in a blighted, apocalyptic, barren setting and did a wonderful job (IMO) of making excellent landscapes.

The final cut looks nice and lava-lamp-ish. Was that what you were attempting to mimic? Still seems somewhat muted to me, somewhat this-worldly and not quite transcendent enough. Might I suggest smoking a lot more dope? (Do you actually smoke any dope at all? Please, try some, try quite a bit.)
Quoting onomastikon, reply 35 how can you possibly believe that you can ensure that FE will be awesome?Brad knows the answer better, but besides restructuring the design flow and bringing Derek on for some pro management help, one big step we'll be taking (once the game is feature complete and we're onto the 'polish stage') is making use of 'pre-reviews'. What game d

I thought the title of this post was so silly I just wanted to say: What kind of answer could you possibly expect in this thread? And I was flabbergasted to see Brad and Boogie reply frequently. But
The bottom line is, we require that our customers know that buying a Stardock game means quality and goodness and War of Magic failed that test miserably. It isn't enough for FE to be good. It has to be so much better that even those

This sounds promising. Two questions, if I may: a. Would there be any reason NOT to have what you describe under Point 4 above (Random Techs) be to a certain degree faction-specific, or additionally faction-specific? This seems like an ideal feature to make the factions feel less bland or interchangeable. So there could be random techs each time you start a game, no matter which faction you play, but then additional random techs (say, 3?) which come from a random pool (of, say, 15?) a

The developers have indicated here that 1.2 will be coming out the third week of March.

Excuse me, one last question if I may: I have DLed the demo and like what I have seen so far. However, I am so unfamiliar with the franchise (never played a TW product before) that I am uncertain what the full game actually comprises -- may I ask? I mean this: I am NOT looking for a primarily MP game (I have my MP fix elsewhere), I am looking to play Shogun TW purely single-player: Is there a sandbox mode? Or is there only one "campaign" = 1 story, and then the SP aspect is over?

I entirely agree with Alstein. So I was right in the assumption that Steam was needed, even if internet is not? Impulse seems much better!

I have not had Steam on this, my current machine, yet, but I installed it to DL the Shogun 2 demo upon many suggestions here. I havent played a Steam-purchased game in ages, to my knowledge, and I am surprised now because I thought that one does not need to be connected to the internet to play SP Steam games after the initial install. Yet when I click on the Shogun 2 demo shortcut icon, a steam mini-window opens with the message that my Steam account is being connected to first .... takes som

That sounds promising! About 80% of that I had listed in some of my "ideas" threads in 2009. Just curious however:
We won’t have Diablo style drop rates (you won’t be swimming in magical equipment). Instead we want every magical weapon you get to be something special and interesting.
Wouldn't it be nice if each player, in the Game Setup screen, could choose a type of drop rate from a drag-down

Confused: Hadn't Brad just posted a number of optimistic upbeat posts in the last two months about how digital distribution would play a key role in game evolution in the near future? But now he, who had a large stake in it, isn't particularly interested in holding that stake anymore? Ah well. Can someone explain to a computer idiot how to back up games to disk from impulse please? Thank you.
