August is right after July ;) I seriously doubt the final game will be ready in 13 days. Early August seems to be the going rumor for the Beta 4 release.

Mana go byebye?????
I completely agree with the OP, as well. To my mind, there should be Scouts - cheap units to explore/build outposts that should be consumed when the outpost is build, thus weighing the decision between Exploration and Outpost Building; and Settlers - much more expensive units to found new cities and Expand the empire. I also wish there were different types of Outposts, or techs to make outposts do more than plant a defenseless flag in the ground. Military, Research, Commerce,
Some of this goodness is reminding me of Final Fantasy Tactics (spell charging, taming etc).....and that makes me a very very happy gamer.
Very cool! Totally characterful, and adds a definite playstyle to that faction. I can't wait to see what's in store for the others.
what you dont get is ppl dont want a specilized game for mp most ppl just want THE SAME game they play in sp to just work in mp
Clearly what you don't get is what Frogboy just said. It's not just a matter of flipping a switch. Even if the game design is 100% the same subbing humans for AI, there's still a lot to create/manage/update on the back end, and when you're tal
WHY do we have to choose between a good SP and a bad MP? why SHs (not talking specifically of FE or stardock) cant just make a game which is good in both SP and MP ?
Limited resources? Not in scope? Wrong market? Differing vision? There's a billion reasons as to why. It's not as easy as just wanting to make a game that excels in both, it's gotta be really
This happened to me too. I had to switch tabs back and forth to get the tooltips to pop up again.
Big time agree with the sentiment here, although I have some other positive posts. The game seems to be really taking shape. I enjoyed it a lot last night. I couldn't stop playing, and I got my butt kicked a few times as well. KEEP IT UP!
This is a MUST. I've had my Noblewoman and some Pioneers auto-deploy front and center and in range of faster bandits and monsters, only to be crushed before they got to even move.
+ Fixed an issue keeping path of governor abilities from showing up Soooooo - Am I reading this correctly? None of the abilities were showing up before? No wonder it was so useless.
Great list of changes! Keep it up!
Same thing happened to me. I ended up doing about half of my regular attack with it.
They are on the 0.76 changelog, per Derek, so I'm sure they'll be fixed shortly.
It's happened to me too. The last one was the Staff of the Furnace. I killed the monster, got the Staff, and when I return to the quest-giver a window pops up saying, "Locate the Staff of the Furnace".
I did the same thing, except no dragon appeared. I paid the ten bucks and....nothing happened. I'm glad it 'worked out' for you though!
stardockians: i sent you a couple crash logs, but i also get 'hangs' that don't produce logs, that is the game just stops responding for minutes and windows asks if it can kill it. over the course of about 3 hours i got 2 crashes and 4 hangs. yay autosave
I've had these too, as well as crashes. I'll start sending in the crash reports.
Questing poses and interesting element to a game such as this. I've found in my first day of playing that the risk/reward and difficulty of quests ranges from 'ridiculously easy' to 'you better not try this one for 200 seasons because that Bone Ogre near the treasure doesn't look too friendly'. I like how quests do have an element of randomness, as trying the same actions in different games for the same quest may yield different results (even more would be great!).
My file is corrupt...... ....re-downloading ...Okay, phew! For some reason my first try didn't download completely. AWAY WE GO!
I got my email too! I think the cancer plague has already grabbed a hold of me too. I definitely should be home tomorrow, 'resting' around Noon PST to recuperate.
Looks great! Can't wait for all the other info (QUESTS!) to show.
I see botulism, famine, and crying puppies. The HORROR!!
Bring on the botulism! I hope there's still plenty of sneak peaks and vids between then and now.
OOoooooooo, I can't wait for Part II. Keep it up Brad.
Looking great! Way to keep us enticed on the way to the Beta release.
