It just wasn't used to make plastics or in modern day machinery. But it was used a fuel source for things, as ammunition in siege weapons, paved

Yea I saw that. I was wondering did they patch to run better on Vista/Win7? Or is it the typical 1.31 Patch version? I ask cause I was thinking of digging MoM out of my closest and simply downloading the patch. But I know people have had trouble getting old DOS games to work and needed to use DOS Box. If they have patched it to run better on newer OS it could be worth getting. For those who never played it though and don't have a copy I recommend buying it. It's a great game.<
The SOV died in the city. I don't recall seeing an AI ever flee. Even though he died defending the city he still had other cities at his disposal. The save game has my army parked right out his city so in 1 turn it should fall if attacked. Everytime I load it and attack the city killing thier SOV it says the empire fell on the turn notes and the diplomacy screen no longer shows them. Yet the other cities they control remain. I went back and took some Screenshots to show what I

Though it was the Islamic soldiers who used it not the crusaders. They mixed some crude oil,
One reason might simply be that each unit will be an entity unto itself. Currently, having the Sov and Hero's level is not overly problematic. I have had a gang level 3 units after one fight. Click click +++++ etc. No sweat. Now multiply that by 100X or way more.
Units don't currently level so what do you mean you had 3 units level after a fight? Also what makes you think people are going to have 100X units level up

So does this little tidbit perhaps provides us a glimpse into what may be a new Food sources to come etc.?
Well they already have several food sources as is. The garden, wheat farm, orchard, and beehives are in the game so I don't see a problem with additional ones. The game is suppose to be very mod freely and adding a new resource shouldn't
Originally I noticed that only your SOV and hired heroes earn XP but your other units didn't. So I reported it as a "bug" which got a reply that trained units were cannon fodder and not suppose to earn XP. But honestly I think this is a mistake as a lot of TBS games have your units become more experienced the more they fight. Most are simply Normal/Veteran/Elite which is fine as it adds another interesting layer to the game by helping reward players who focus more on strategy and keeping thei

Why should a quick reset button be an excuse to have a setup that increases the chances of screwing over a play at the start of the g

I don't really care that they declare war on me cause they are like flies. I simply swat their armies down without any problem and I use them to grind my SOV up to higher levels.
I've been getting this too. Although it alternates between CTD or Freeze. I've verified it by 1) selecting different (civ) techs from the same save point (only "Housing" causing the crash); and 2) choosing a different civ tech and then trying to pick Housing later.
Yea and since it doesn't seem to crash if you research housing early I'm beginning to suspect that some of the later game CTD on turn end are caused by this.
I was trying to demolish a building in the city when I clicked "yes" on the popup the game crashed. I was demolishing a hut in case that matters. Dump: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6399047/Elemental0_302-2010-04-26T03-33-07-307.zip debug: http://pastebin.com/kiUUaecc
I got some Screens to show what I mean. It seems to happen whenever I load a save game. They display normally when I start a new game but not when I save that game and load it later.
I am kinda cofused to be honest. In the first 4-5 games I was crashing occasionally, after that I started a new game with the exact same settings, I had no CTDs in that game. I abandoned that game after ~400 turns, and started a new one...again with the same settings. Guess what? CTD again. Weird. The Arcane Academy has no resource cost and actually has a 0 on space it takes up. In later games in cities that are completely surrounded with no more spaces I've been able to lay down Arcane Academies. But when they are placed on the map they seem to attach to other cities and all stack in the same place. It's a very fickle bug that's hard to reproduce when placing Academies in cities with no room. Sometimes it does it other times it won't. If I track down more on that part of bug I

In two games now I can't turn in the quest. When I move onto the inn nothing happens. The quest remains and the yellow inn stays there.
