However the mere use of a taboo word doesn't necessarily denote an intent to offend. That's true, but the person hearing can be offended regardless of what the intent is. And in general, that's t

It isn't just the words themselves as you are right in the sense that "GRAB" could have been the word which was associated with a particular notion. That is irre

[quote who="TheRayster" reply="57" id="2867381"]Cursing is just poor judgement in all scenarios. It does not matter if it was intended to be offensive. Only that it was perceived as offensive. Think along the same lines as sexual harrassment. It does not matter that you didn't think it was offensive. People just need to be civil in all cases, and respect each other. If you couldn't say it to your mother without feeling a twinge of gui
I don't believe that was the crux of the discussion at all, unless you were taking it in a different direction. The original poster found it offensive for people to use these kinds of words, however you want to label them. He also thought that there should be stronger moderation of it. Now, I disagree that there should be heavy handed moderation concerning this but I agree with him that using these sorts of words can be rude and mean spirited. It doesn't mean that everyone who uses them are,

Well, I think that it is rather rude to curse and I don't think that is something that is a personal opinion or a holier then though attitude. It seems to be a commonly accepted part of ethics that cursing is rude, impolite and mean spirited. That doesn't mean I have never cursed or been rude, impolite and mean spirited. I have been, so no I do not think I am better then anyone else but I am trying to better myself by not acting in such ways.
[quote who="Femmefatal48" reply="33" id="2867114"] quoting postSeriously guys, this forum is one of the best forums I've seen because the developers, especially Frogboy, do listen to us gamers and are sincere. The problem is that I can't look at a thread without eventually hearing someone swearing or yelling profanities just for the fun of it. Other people might be amused, but it gets old really quick. In addition to hiring Jon Shafer, Stardock should hire the foru
I agree with the original poster and I disagree with Cruxador that cursing is in any way articulate. Cursing is just an easy way to show your anger and basically ignore the need for further conversation about something. It may be used differently on forums, as in real life, because there is no real way to shut someone up on a forum without moderation. However, in real life, when someone curses at you it is very difficult to have any sort of intelligent conversation with that person. It is sim

So I will explain as simply as I can: Fallen enchantress is a stand alone game, in that it contains everything from EWOM plus the extra content added in Fallen enchantress. Essentially the games will be the same, but there will be new game mechanics and such in Fallen Enchantress

So I will explain as simply as I can: Fallen enchantress is a stand alone game, in that it contains everything from EWOM plus the extra content added in Fallen enchantress. Essentially the games will be the same, but there will be new game mechanics and such in Fallen Enchantress which will enhance the game play. I don't think there is going to be anything drastic
Both expansions will be free, for those of us who bought before oct 2010 and the original game will still be worked on continuing. Hope that clears things up!!!!!!!!!
Some people are just dense. The journal post is very clear and easy to read and understand and yet I still see people asking questions which were already answered, if they read the first post, and/or expressing concerns about nothing because they didn't bother to read and comprehend the journal post.
I am not saying you are lying, I am saying you might be confused as to the two different difficulties and to the fact that you have to set each individual AI's difficulty. Many people are confused by this.
I know he says that he put the AI on novice, but I bet you he didn't. I bet you he put the world difficulty to novice and doesn't realize you have to put each individual AI to novice as well. Listen, when you are choosing AI kingdoms or empires to put into your game, you have to individually click on each crest and change the ai difficulty to novice for EACH ONE. I still don't understand how it is too hard. Even if it defaults to normal and you played the normal AI, it
Wow, I am sorry but if you are getting killed on novice, I don't know what to tell you. The game is not difficult and on novice it is a cake walk. Keep trying.
They did not fix the OOM issue, frogboy said that already. You can make the exe use more then 2 gb guys. This will certainly help you with the OOM issues.
I just can't agree with you Kenata, I think the story is excellent and it has a lot of great, albeit wrong, philosophical ideas. Perhaps you are unable to appreciate the games approach with them. Oh well, to each their own. I just can't see any story of any other RPG being better, don't get me wrong, there are so many great RPGs. I love dragon quest 7 and 8, final fantasy 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12, all of the suikoden games, all of the Tales games, chrono trigger, earthbound, breath of fire serie

Distant worlds + Return of the Shakturi is awesome, I just wish the Shakturi would show up in my game. They never seem to show up so I can't follow that story but yeah I would say that Distant worlds is one of the best. X3 Terran Conflict is quite amazing though, even though it is not exactly the same kind of game it can be played that way with some mods.

I have always gone by the name BlackRain, or BlackRainZ, or BlackRainZi because others like to steal my nickname. Of course, I have been using this name since I played Warcraft 2 on the KALI network, way before there was ever battlenet. I was also in several leagues back in the days of warcraft 2. I also used this name when I played starcraft as well but Warcraft 2 is far superior to starcraft in my opinion. I have played too many games to count over the years and this has always been m
