Problem is figuring out the two position numbers to put in there. I guess it isn't that difficult really, just takes time to get it right.

I am assuming you mean it is modified by these codes 8,15 9,14 9,16 10,17 10,13 10,15 11,14</
I didn't know that. I will do that! Perhaps we will be able to have larger armies and battles after all.
Frogboy said Friday yesterday, when did he change it to monday, I didn't see that post.
Ok I was able to find out how to get more then 9 units in a stack, that is easy. The problem is that when you go into battle, only 9 units show up on the battlefield. Now need to find out if that is hardcoded or that is something which can be changed in the XML.
DO NOT nerf spellcasting. It needs to be more powerful!
aren't you guys tired yet ?
I only see max units for garrisoning in a city, which I knew about. I don't see the line of code for max units in a stack though.

Let me just add, that's not all I want to do. I want to have every city type have their own kinds of walls or walls that give different kinds of benefits and bonuses. I want to have city militia that has armor (I am still debating with myself if that armor should upgrade as you research new armors or should stay as leather) If possible, I want to have unique armors for each faction and new spells, etc. That all depends on how much help I get. I can't do graphics myself so I would need
Hmm, I will look into the 9 unit per army maximum and see if there is anything that can be done. I will also show some screenshots of the 20 guys in a bit. This is my new idea, I thought about it and would like to hear thoughts. I was thinking of really altering the way the game is played in these ways: For one, Units would be sizes of 5 - 10 - 15 - 20 This way in the early game when populations are lo
Maybe it would just be easier to leave the armor and weapons as is and just increase sovereign and champions and certain monsters and stuff HP by a factor of ten I don't suppose there is a global hp modifier ? heh
I am wondering if having 20 guys in each unit on the tactical map is going to have a huge impact on tactical or not. There doesn't seem to be any way to limit how many are shown. If you change coreunitgroupingtypes to be a number, like 20, it will show 20 guys even if you limit it in coreformations it seems.
Parrot, if you could get it so 20 guys are lined up in rows of maybe 5, that would be great. I am playing around with the numbers but I can't get the formation to look really nice. I don't mind so much but it might be cooler.
Unless there is something in the XML that is making the max men shown to be 20 in tactical, it may be something hardcoded. I don't mind there only being 20 guys there and as men die, it doesn't lessen till the right number. May be fine this way. I don't want to make the numbers different as like a 5 - 10 - 15 combo because that would mean a huge rebalance of weapons, armor etc. Something strange in coreformations which has a standard gro
Okay, I was able to get it so that it wouldn't have that strange graphical glitch by putting in more positions. It didn't look too bad either, except for a couple of guys being very close or sort of partly in another guy but it wasn't too bad. However, it seems the most men that can be shown in a unit in the tactical battle is 20, it will not show more then that apparently and on the strategic map the most it will show is 9 I think. This may not necessarily
I am playing around with the formations now, will let you know what I find out in a minute.
That is only if I leave the armor as is, I would have to edit armor too.
Okay, that scales them on the world map which I don't need to do I think. I want to scale them on the tactical map really. Let me look more. --edit-- nevermind, found it 0.8
It seems like I can just edit this code to all units 1 to whatever I want to change their size (I am assuming) That solves that issue. So I can change their size to make it smaller so more fit, that is fine. I can change stats of weapons and armor to make it work too. The problem now is positioning of all the units. Need to think about it.
I know it happens but what to change in the XML to make it be a default thing, I don't know. Haven't looked into it.
Yes but 30 x 5 damage means more dmg, it doesn't matter if it is a multiplier or not because it will still do 30 attacks rather than 3. Yeah I know separating weapons and armor is doable but time consuming. The problem is, that I have no idea how I would add 30, 40, 50, etc different soldiers into core formations. How would you know what position to put them at ? I wouldn't
ah hehe okay. It seems when you change coreunitgrouping types it does work but the problem is that now you have them doing dmg of 5 x 30 instead of 5 x 3 and hp of 8 x 30 instead of 8 x 3. This could be fixed by changing every weapon to be divided by 10 but champions would be affected. Perhaps weapons and armor could be duplicated to have units use the ones divided by 10 but champions use the normal ones ? </s
ISGolemRace ? Why is that part of the code ?
Thanks, really. Loving the game. Will only get better in the future (especially once we mod it like crazy hehe)
