Sean, did you also do something to magic ? I cast firedart (or whatever it is called) at a bandit and it resisted and took 1 damage. The firedart spell should be doing like 38 dmg and it says if resisted, half dmg. Taking 1 dmg is definitely not half dmg.
BlackRainZ
Frogboy, the AI is rushing production for FREE as well, why no mention of this ?
The code in coreimprovements seems fine, so not sure what else could be affecting it. I should be producing 12 gold right now but I am only producing 2.4 and I built 1 spearmen which is costing me 1.1 so I am basically making no money. Given, the rate is on low, but still even on higher levels it isn't much. At normal 4.8 and high 7.2. This is with 2 cities. Something is wrong here.
Sean, in your mod, does merchant building no longer work ? I am using a custom faction, built the first merchant building which is supposed to give me +2 gold but it isn't giving me anything. Still only making .8 gold on low tax with a lvl 1 town. Did you change how it works maybe ?
Okay, I figured out how to get it to work. Need to manually place rivers though. Also, with very large maps, need to change the density of shards and resources. Even with dense magic and dense resources, with large maps it may be hard to find them.
Yeah, keep trying but it wont work. I also can't edit the maps and save them because when I save the map and then try to load it up, it does not load the Elementerra map and just makes a new random map.
Or perhaps the maps I am creating are too large
That isn't true. I loaded up a map created by Elementerra and it does not add in grain, essence, materials, etc. Unless I am doing something wrong.
If anyone is curious, I was actually able to load up elementerra generated maps when playing a new game. I was also able to load them up in the Cartographer tools, but there are some issues with both. This is using the first elementerra, not elementerra 2, which does not work. The maps generated do not have any of the new stuff that FE has though, most importantly grain, essence and production. Those would have to be placed in the Cartographers tools but whenever I tried to save the map, it w
I see, didn't realize that. It is late and my eyes are tired.
I edited the strings file a little, just got a little creative. I changed where it has summer, fall, etc. to week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4 I can post the file or just show some of the stuff here. I changed a few stuff. [Year] Month [Years] Months [Season0] Week 1 [Season1] Week 2 [Season2] Week 3 [Season3] Week 4 Except here, I changed everywhere else where it
I figured out how to do it satisfactory to my tastes. It isn't perfect as it no longer shows the year but it shows weeks and months and I can just count every 12 months as a year.
Do these factions replace the original factions or just get added in with the original factions because I just downloaded this and put it into the correct place and when I load up the game, I only see your factions, none of the original. (I also just put in sean's mod to try it out) Maybe I am just too tired right now and am missing something.
That is what I am thinking, which sucks. I will keep trying though.
There is no way the game is too difficult on easy. I am not some expert at FE, and I play on challenging with no problems.
assuming that is what happened
but frogboy, in that screenshot the monster went on the same tile as the AI caravan and didn't kill it. How do you explain that
I have definitely had monsters attack my caravans. Haven't seen in 1.0 yet but in previous betas, they always did.
Not a single crash in my game yet. Game is rock solid. Some bugs, true, but honestly, they are minor.
Well if I can change it to months, I could change it to weeks I suppose. I am trying to create a more immersive mod. That depends on whether or not I can figure out a few things.
I was looking in the strings file and there is definitely something there, it may be possible to do this. I tried playing around with it just a little but it didn't work right. Before I play around with it more, curious if anyone knows exactly how to do this, if it is possible.
I was curious if it was possible to edit the turns (seasons) somehow in the XML. Haven't really looked into it so figured I would ask. I would like to change it so that each turn is a month, rather than a season. Any ideas ?
it may be a lumber camp at first, but it soon upgrades into more advanced things, lumberyard for example. Makes sense that at first it would be a camp since your settlement will start very small.
Yep. Agree.
50 is way too high for lower land. You can't just cast it once and you are good. In most cases it takes several casts to get a single passageway. You are talking about 300-500 mana used to get one passageway. Too much in my opinion. Perhaps 10-15 mana per cast is good.
