The point is that I don't really care that much about what the actual purpose of the crystal is, but rather that I'm completely in the dark as to what crystal does even though I can quickly research a tech that lets me start gathering it. It's a good example where at the very least the tech that enables crystal mining should tell the player what kind of functions the crystals have.

I find it tedious to place buildings. The UI for it is a little clunky and it's sometimes hard to distinguish where you are placing the building, and the system feels gimmicky as you can help units move faster through your empire by snaking out the cities. Even in my first real playthrough of the beta, I found myself just clickng the BUILD button and letting the game auto-place the buildings. This felt like I was losing out somehow for not micromanaging the placement, so in the en
I'm still at a loss about how to properly build up my empire. I've no idea how big of a gain is +0.5 into growth, for instance. When focusing on non-civic research you kind of forget you even have any cities as the champins do all the work. I have no idea what crystal is fore. I beelined to the channeling tech to be able to build on the resource next to my starting position, but I've no idea what to use the crystals for. When building the crystal mine, it didn'
Should be limited to just one or at most two extra attacks, with second attack coming at 50% accuracy and the third attack at 25% accuracy. Otherwise there is absolutely no point in using any special abilities on the champion as they don't trigger Maul.
I ordered my army to move two squares from their current position in the strategic map. The army had two paths to take, one through a forest tile and one through a plains tile. The unit chose to move through the forest tile not reaching the destination square, even though it could've reached it on that turn.
I cleared the Shroud and have no idea what the city inside is useful for. It was just a blank city with no improvements. Also, there was no message when the wildlands were cleared. Afterwards I noticed the borders of the wildlands were gone.
I just destroyed the frost wildlands boss with three attacks from one lvl 10 champion and that had a weapon with Maul.
I'm not sure how Double Strike works, but after my champion was Dazed the ability was again usable.
I have no idea how often I can use Double Strike in a battle. The ability description should tell this.
I summoned two sand golems in an army that couldn't fit them. The golems apparently appeared in the same tile as separate units from the army. I couldn't select them without moving my army first.
Health bars aren't always properly updated in battle. Two examples: 1) When an enemy unit takes damage from attacking your unit with a shrill shield, the enemy's health bar isn't updated. 2) When you heal via drinking a health potion, the health bar isn't updated until your next turn. 3) When a troll shaman casts barbs, it only updates the shaman's health bar, not the health bar of the opposing unit it damages. 4) Double strike doesn't u
I have another issue: It was unclear to me what function food has in the game. At a quick glance I didn't find any clear description of the effects of food when inside a city. I know I'll learn it really soon but this seemed like an UI problem that I couldn't find out straight away.
When this is released, it's going to blow all those three titles out of the water. Right now we're still in beta so I don't see the point of comparing to anything else than WoM yet.
All good stuff, I agree especially with all the gameplay improvements. Out of them I want to bring forth especially this point:
- Please add color outline (highlighting) at moseouver on places, units etc. So I can clearly see that I can choose it, or use it.
I really want to have clear tile interaction without having to click on things. This would benefit going about doing things in the world map A LOT!
Rush production is a thing in game now, it requires the Civics tech and then will show up in the action list of any city with an item in the queue.
Please add the Rush production button greyed out when you don't have the necessary tech, with a tooltip telling you that you need to research the Civics tech to be able to rush production. Otherwise the above happens and players don't know it's in the game before they stu
I had this error when I played yesterday. I played the tutorial first then went to start a single player game. Haven't had time to check if I can reproduce it yet.
I know I've bitched a whole lot since WoM Beta 1 to the point of being really irritating, but I hope the positive feedback I gave and will keep giving as FE progresses will make up some of the headache I've given. You guys at Stardock deserve a big applause for FE. It's already clear that the game is going to be great and successful. Now the only question that remains is HOW great and successful it will be. I really believe that the sky's the limit now; all the right i
seanw3, you could be plenty plainer. I agree with the OP, it needs rewording. Adding "in addition to " would do fine.
One of the questions is how did he manage to get Blood Curse from the wildlands so early in the game? That's the part that worries me the most - I thought wildlands were supposed to be super hard.
I tried another game even though I should be asleep already, which says a lot about the game. However, I crashed again really soon after starting. Which is good because now I can go sleep.
Got it, thanks.
I guess we can discuss initial impressions here. I managed to play about half an hour before a crash, but I can already say that my first experience with FE is excellent. Everything about the game is way more polished than anything in WoM ever was. The very first impression I got was from the main menu. I loved the music in it, and all the graphics in the menus before getting into the game created the atmosphere well. The game itself feels really good from the first couple of
My game crashed Windows-style (Elemental: FE has stopped working message and forced close). I couldn't find the zip file anywhere in ...\Documents\My Games\FallenEnchantress I did find the debug.err file there, though, so I sent it in the Fallen Enchantress report.
Just a quick post, MottiKhan, it sounds like you have a pretty distorted view about the justice systems here in Europe. I never felt Knox was railroaded in the trial here. I'm a bit surprised she got the second chance. Whatever really happened, it was a pretty difficult case. Most justice systems here I feel are on par or better than that of the US. All have flaws, of course, but the western world in general is pretty well off. Your point about the "innocent before proved guilty"
Rishkith, send them an e-mail. Sounds like there is an error with pax-preorders.
