"A Traveler's Tent" does not show up on the cloth map in the campaign, as illustrated in the above screenshots of the same tile.<

Confirmed, it does that for me as well with the Umberdroth Lair.
Strange. I have not been able to confirm this, as I have not yet gotten a research hut in a game before starting research (still on my first game). However, carryover is working as it had been in Beta -- if a research goodie hut finishes my current research project, there is a research bonus push that I presume to be the correct carryover amount applied to the next research project, even if the current research project is the end of my queue and I have to specify another research
IIRC, in a recent beta patch, the number of allowable accessories when designing new units was increased from 3 to 4, but attempting to design units in the 1.0 release, it is only allowing 3 again. I do not remember this being mentioned in the release notes ... was it intentionally reduced back to 3 from 4?
I'm not sure that qualifies as goth ... generally when someone is described as 'goth,' they have pale skin in sharp contrast with deeply blackened hair and/or clothing. Almost-black on darker-black is just plain unreadable to me, heh.
As can be seen from this screenshot, there are two identically-named "Breastplate" armor categories. They should either be consolidated into one, or one should be renamed to differentiate it from the other. This is from the campaign scenario, I do not know if the regular game also has it (I am
The first en-dash in the second paragraph should be an em-dash (either a double-length dash or, if there is no convenient way to use a special character such as an em-dash, a double dash [--] can suffice), while the second should be replaced with a colon [ He hands you armor: two bracers, metal cuffs worn on
I presume the "Warg Meat" = "Warg Flesh" = "Warg Carcass" for the quest? I think there could be more exacting and consistent specificity to clear up the text between the mouseover description, to make it clear "Warg Pelts" do not satisfy the quest.
There's a bit of inconsistency I have found seeking the ingredients for Taevish's Elixir, as illustrated in the following images of the Quest mouseover, item inventory, and attempting to return to the campsite to complete the quest: <img src="http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss262/Chibiabos/Misc%20p
"You've" contraction outside of dialog should be "you have;" further, "have" is part of passive voice and "you've ta
87 is a very respectable score. I think a perfect score of 100 should be very difficult to achieve. I think Civ V scored way too high at launch at a number of sites ... personally, I do not think it was that much better than the disastrous E:WoM, certainly not sufficiently better to warrant the gleaming points disparity between Civ V and War of Magic on, say, gamespot.
I truly don't understand why G&K is being praised and the vanilla version ignored -- if the vanilla version still falls short of what was promised or expected, and G&K fixes it, that essentially makes G&K a premium patch of vanilla, doesn't it? Vanilla seems to have been abandoned. :/ Mods made it a bit more playable, but even with them, it still had problems the last time I played it. I do not get the mentality of so gamers that the solution to a broken
I've gritted and bared it through a number of grammatical faux pas, but like nails on a chalkboard, eventually I have enough, so I will do my best to document each one from here on out. In the Scenario, the "Duggam's Quest" initiation dialog, there are a number of grammatical errors and weaknesses: <img src="http://i582.photobucket.com/albums/ss262/Chibiabos/Misc%20photos/Screenshots/FallenEnchantress-100-Grammar-DuggamsQuest1.png" alt=""
I do find it kinda silly. Wish you could, if not snake, at least be able to build the terrain-specific buildings such as logging camps for forests and harbors for rivers the way you build the special resource improvements. Seems silly that you can build to a forest, but if you don't start your city immediately next to one, you can't build a logging camp ... how is it really even a camp, then? A camp is a base of operations, like a temporary nomadic village, but since
Darn you froggy. I have been refreshing "Fallen Enchantress" review in google searches, hoping I could nab teh trophy for finding the first post-release review ... ya beat me to it, dagnabit. :P
I don't even have a "Microsoft Visual Studio 2008" ... I have several Programs And Features listings for "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2008" and two "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010" (one 'ADO .NET Entity Framework Tools' and one 'Express Prerequisites x64 - ENU'). :/
It seems there are several users who bought WoM, abandoned it, remember the promise and are confused as to where to go to cash in the promised credit for Enchantress. Maybe there should be a stickied post, or even a link directly on the main page along the lines of "If you purchased Elemental: War of Magic, click here..."
I deleted the beta installation in \Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Fallen Enchantress, and the Fallen Enchantress folder in My games, chose the "Simple" installation but got the following crash: External Installer External Installer has stopped working. Yes, I noticed that if I cast Haste later during a tactical battle, its as though its retro-active from the beginning and gives the unit several turns in a row instantly to 'catch up' to how many turns it would have had, if it had them from the getgo.
Anymore, I only do download. I've had to move so many times, I've lost several discs over the years, and a few years ago I had a rash of DVD drive failures anyway, plus I hate how slow it takes to read from a disc, and hate even more having to dig through my bachelor pad of a room to find a CD to play a game I've already installed, heh.
Ranged combat, at least, is much improved in Skyrim. No more 'You can pelt someone with a hundred arrows and they won't die, but one poke with a small dagger rips them in two!'
Nice! That's one down, quite a few to go. Will be interesting to see his full review.
If only politicians, media pundits and, hell, other game makers/publishers would follow that example ...
Yes, a lot of things have been changed for the better, but the most basic of mechanics are similar to WoM in terms of its a world in anarchy and filled with monsters, you start out very weak and will have to contend with and survive powerful beasts until you have build your kingdom/empire powerful enough to deal with them and then possibly challenge a rival kingdom/empire. You can probably get WoM on teh cheap somewhere.
FYI, dark grey text on a slightly darker grey background is hard for me to read. :(
There is definitely some sort of corruption problem. I am a wussy player, I do tend to reload a lot if something doesn't go my way, sometimes if its early on I'll just start a new game, but do this a few times and the game will corrupt ... my sovereign will literally lose her head, the CGI model for her will have no head along with other units being headless, and the "can't move after combat despite having movement points left" bug seems to be more frequent unless I complete
