I am a bit surprised that Gamersgate isnt mentioned more in this discussion. They are doing a 1C sale this week (cheap Kings Bounty for example). I think most of what needs to be said in this discussion has been said. I do wonder though why location restriction is tighter in Impulse than Steam. The argument about publishers only having right to certain areas and such does ring hollow when Steam can make a way around it but not Impulse. I use Gamersgate and Impulse for my buyin

Well, at least you can get the 1C games at gamersgate at 75% off now (Kings Bounty is a steal). So there is still some life left in Gamersgate, Impulse and a few others. I have yet to buy anything connected to steam. Was gonna buy Empire: Total War boxed version until I read the fine print on the box.
The tools these kids have for programming nowadays are insane. When I first started coding, I had to use beeps to tell where something is crashed. Now, in your c:\programdata\stardock\elemental war of magic directory are ZIP files with crash .dmps in them that we can load and actually take us to the line of code where it crashed. It's insane.
I have supplied such a file for version 2a and 2b. Game crash on clicking

This game is progressing fast now. I just hope they get some CTD crashes fixed soon. I have not been able to play the game for the last two versions. Have reported my problems and given crash files. Its incredible if they can get this game out in two months. Still, I expect that they will have lots of stuff to do in patches. Go Stardock!
Bloodbowl is actually a clever strategy game- don't discount it. Sadly the DS interface is kludgy and causes more confusion than it should.
I bought it because I had considered getting it for PC, I guess I should have done that. I will try the DS one sometime :)

Hi My daughter (5 years old) got a DS for her birthday with Zhu Zhu and Super Mario Bros. I took a trip to Gamestop and got Bloodbowl, Advanced Wars:Dual Strike and Might and Magic:Clash of Heroes. Bloodbowl got very bad reviews and I havnt tried it yet. Advanced Wars is a great game (more or less the same as good old Battle Isle on PC). Clash of Heroes seems ok, but I havnt tried it enough to really know yet. Do you people know of any good games

Bought Gothic 3 a couple of years back. Wasted at few hours on this buggy performance hogging beast. Not worth a dollar in my opinion

Could it be that the game is awaiting internet access and you need to click allow in ZoneAlarm. I have this problem every time the game is updated. My trick is to switch back and forth between my two external monitors and my laptop screen. Then I can see the ZoneAlarm question and click allow.
