Lets help these ppl survive Kickstarter, and then worry about the zombies ;)

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1317934609/forsaken-fortress Seems like a mix of RPG, Survival, Tower defense with some Strategy. Just up my alley :) They seem a bit low on momentum. I have backed them anyways. What do you ppl think?
I think the game is a long way from its final release. I understand that Stardock somewhat recently replaced the design team with the one that did GalCiv, and they have lots (and lots) of corrections/improvements/additions to make. So take heart and report the bugs that you are experiencing and hopefully they will eventually be addressed.
This game is actually quite stable. It has been beta tested a
Did you participate in the beta? I had the exact same problem on a laptop where I updated the beta install to 1.02 (I forgot to uninstall beta fully and then install full game).
I listened to an interview with the norwegian prime minister on the radio today. He used to play Age of Empires and Medieval: Total War. His nick was the name KGB had put on him in their secret (not so secret anymore though) files. Kinda cool. It does not belong in this thread, but I just had to mention it.
keep em coming
no reload ever
Do you really think that those two examples prove anything than a bit of bad luck? The AI is not a sentient being.
They have said that it MIGHT come at a later point, but it is not promised. The pros and cons of this has been discussed a lot on these forums. The short version: Pro: Its fun to play with friends Cons: Its expensive/time consuming to develop People play a lot less MP than you would think (according to frogboys statistics) It might focus the game more on balance and less on fun
40 but I swear I look younger [e digicons]:D[/e]
I can shoot through anything when I play XCOM :)
Give us pain! I the AI does not use magic to the max, it should be because of the frog not getting there yet. If it is to never happen, and because the humans should be spared, I will move on to another pasture.
Regarding number two. There seems to be some kind of autoattack if you try to move past a unit. I dont know how its triggered, cause it only happens now and again.
Umber, but without master scouts. Its all so sad. First they take away Umber as a default nation, then they give them the most newbie ability of all. Its sabotage from the other races... I would gladly pay for a DLC where this is fixed.
Thanks for the number of sales. This really interests me :) A map pack would not even be on my list of DLC wishes, due to the game making random maps anyway. I dont play campaigns either. I would like more STUFF in the game. Monsters, Quests, Heroes ++ I would also love stuff that makes the world more alive. Cool random events that really does wild stuff.
This is cool stuff, if you ragequit you are missing the fun. You might have overcome him, he might have gone towards an AI empire or something completely different might happen. Make a story in your head. If you want the monsters to sleep until you are ready for them, I suggest Heroes of Might and Magic VI. And remember: You provoked him by getting him into your ZOC. This is something YOU control. Dont give up on this game, its great :d
If you think that the factions play the same, you havent played the game enough. You sound like you want to elevate yourself more than improving FE.
Are you two getting married :)
Image and self esteem are important factors here I know. If they rebuild their image in the public its a success. But for more long term development of the franchise, we need sales.
You have my condolences as well. But sign him up for baseball or some manly sport quick!
You mean football (soccer) surely?
Lets hope. I see that Kings Bounty (another game for a gamer who wants to use the brain a little) is quite high on the list. It gives me hope as well :) Will you ever say anything about sales of this game frogboy? How is it doing? I would think that the sales curve of FE is a lot less volatile than a usual game. Most games sell a lot for a very short while and then people move to the next triple A game. FE relies more on word of mouth and will hopefully sell for quite a
Supreme Commander -> Supreme Commander 2 = A good example of your points methinks
@Willie. He isnt trying to prove anything, but giving us his review of the game. I find his points fair and balanced. Regarding Heroes and Civ V. If I was a reviewer I would play them quite a bit and write reviews. Since I am a gamer, I drop them due to extensive research on the net, that shows me that these games are not up to standard (for what I like).
In the beginning you dont need much metal/crystal and its easy not to think about claiming those resources. BUT if you plan ahead, you can have a lot of it when the need finally comes to frutition. So build on metal and crystal early if you can and start collecting.
Its not the 7 that is the problem, its the fact that the reviewer doesnt get the game and he it holding it against FE. An example of a hopeless statement in my opinion: "the overall problem with Enchantress's early game: you have to go out and explore and gain experience, but you are too often punished for doing so." Is he suggesting that FE should be like a docile zoo where you are in no danger? He is also bashing the start of the game,
