I dislike that tile yield icons disappear when tiles are in foreign territory. I can understand why it occurs, since you can't settle in enemy territory, but it makes it difficult when hunting down enemy pioneers to predict which tile they are most likely to settle on. At the very least, when you mouse-over a tile, it should give you the tile yields regardless of who holds that territory.

Whoa, that sounds strange, as I recall that game was under the following start conditions: Type: Random Size:Large Research: Normal Production: Normal World Difficulty: Normal World Density: DENSE AI: 6 Opponents, Hard Difficulty Also, I can't even load the game without crashing -- you're able to load it??? There were a bunch of World monsters roaming around as well as lairs and none of the AI players were eliminated at this

Just had a newly completed pioneer pop out of my capital (top left). I ordered them to move to a far off settlement spot with 2/3/4 yield tile. In a single turn, they travel along the road to the neighboring city then jump SEVEN tiles without roads. My faction does not have Master Scout, only have 2 movement points. I've noticed this happen a couple times but infrequently. <img src="http://s17.postimg.org/aj5u2tebz/2013_05_23_00001.jpg" alt="" width="1280" height="800"
might present some opportunities for abuse, though (retreat wounded guy "through" a friendly unit while the friendly unit blocks enemy movement with its ZOC or something along that line). perhaps only allow passing through friendly units if no enemy unit is adjacent?
I like how Blood Bowl handled it -- if you try to move away from an adjacent enemy unit, you suffered an attack as you tried to pull away. That could work out as

Hopefully we can have shield walls that take the initial charge then shield-bash units back and then the damage dealers wade through the shield wall, into the empty tile, and do their thing. I wonder how consistent the tactic would play out since there's no "wait" command.

Okay, started a new game, got a Choose a Hero pop up after a battle -- I have 3 fame though? I haven't even finished my Tower of Dominion yet. *shrug*

Okay, I'm that weenie that reloads if I lose a battle. Turns out that the turn of the autosave is when I completed my Tower of Dominion to get +10 fame and my first hero. Unfortunately, on loading, I did NOT get a hero selection screen and the tool tip says I need 50 more fame for my next hero. I checked and the hero is not "hiding" somewhere in a town or an army stack or whatever.

I've encountered these same riddles repeatedly over only a few games, it shouldn't be hard to add in like 50 riddles to be randomly chosen for some real variety and no easy picks. Some of The Hobbit riddles would be out right cruel though. How the hell did they figure it out, precious?

Question : He asks about something deep in foul swamps, waiting for fresh blood, and causing three-forked wounds with no pain. I guessed "B" for blood, which turned out to be wrong. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leech

When the monsters destroy mines/shards/settlements/outposts, it is not because they are priority targeting them, they are bumping into them in their random meandering. If a player dares to incur the attention of a Lair, that attention should be immediate and swift reaction by the Lair to eliminate the intruding force. Whether it is a Mite Mob or a Ash Dragon, that is up to the player to decide if it is worth plopping down anywhere near it, but the consequence of doing so shouldn&#3

That's right and if you made the mob offer very little XP then it just wouldn't jive (I think the low xp for killing enemy faction armies is lame). If the mechanic won't change though for low xp rewards for faction armies, then we might as well apply it towards these special spawned mobs that will harass and attack the settlement/outpost/improvements.

I think the simple solution is to make creatures that were designed to be immune to something should always be immune even if magic comes into play. I'm a skeleton! I'm undead! You can't critical me, hello, I'm UNDEAD. *graveseal* Awww, crap, I'm less undead now and vulnerable to crotch shots again with graveseal!

As it is right now, if a Lair is within a factions border, then the monsters on that lair will abandon their lair and start wandering around. This allows you to ninja loot without fighting the "guardians" of the lair. This is kinda lame, only a few goody huts should be available for free pickup. Everything else should be earned. How about Lair Guardians NEVER leave their lair. If the lair is within a factions border, then the lair will spawn a new monster stack rapidly x2 as normal an

Most magic-centric factions though will make a bee-line for Mantle of Oceans -40% mana cost along with Mage specialty and equipment reductions -- makes for easy spamming at a low Low LOW cost. I think Roslyn has points in Water magic so it's a given the faction that has the spell will get Mantle of Oceans relatively soon.

Spoilers regarding Master Quest for the Black Gate follows. So I won my first game by killing the Guy on the Dragon. The narrative leading up to the battle is that all my guys run from the battle and I stand alone vs. Guy on Dragon, yet when the battle starts, all my minion and heroes are with me. Either the text needs to be changed or the battle should be mano a mano.
