Yes, I disagree with point #3 comletely. #3 is what's at the core of Elemental. The reason there is no variety as you put it is due to lack of balance and umique identities for each faction. Like Gal Civ 2 was at the onset. Once that is addressed, the game will be unique each time you play.

Frogboy, can you please explain the global mana pool please?
+1 t the purchase
Anyone?
Kingdom can ride wargs. Buy them in the shop for your hero.
My favorite WoT character is Perrin.
I want to have the ability to expell unit out of my cities. How about, before a foreign caravan enters my city a window pops up and asks if I permit this. Upon entering the city, the caravan unit disappears and a trade route is made. Only time a foreign unit can enter the city is during war.
Love it, but it needs work. 1. The age thing needs to be addressed. 2. Grandchildren leaving drives me nuts. I stopped marrying off the sons because I hate having to kill my own grandchildren (A Song of Ice and Fire reference). 3. I wish you could marry them off to your champions and create minor nobles. 4. Everyone in the royal family fights. After a 4th child, the wife joins the husband for the war. 5. High ma
I am not sure that I like this. I kindla like the system as is. Speed up mana regeneration. Change the cost and time of spells. Summons can only be done in summoning circles. Super powerful spells needs to consist of multiple shards. A single unique spell book per faction, unless.. there is a favorable marriage. Other spellbooks open later in the research tree. Each spellbook becomes unique. Vs. magic save/immunity. Just to name a few thing
Quoting Zero_the_Hero, reply 275 In this forum, you either kiss stardock's ass or you are told to "shut up and go away" by half dozens of truculent thread-guard fan boys. If you read some random posts about the game, you will be capable to name each one of them. Your statement is patently false. I take exception to it. People who love the game offer feedback. People who are disappointed offer advice.

I can raise and lower and create a mountain, but not blistering sands. I have no idea why that doesn't work for you If you can cast the greater raise mountain spell though just cast that in a forest square and then ca
@ DK2008: my kid could fix your problem in less than 4 seconds. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Incest in Royal is a common concern. Look at all the inbreeding in European royalty over the years. What bugs me is that the AI doesn't marry off it's kids that are unwed. You should be able to marry off your spawn to your heros to start minor houses/factions and the like.
Have you tried building town halls and such?
Sure. I can build to a point. If I do not have a neighboring forest or one that doesn't encapsulate my city, I can build everything through lvl 5 aka metropolis. But often, I am either blocked by a forest or a neighbor that might actually be more than 5 squares from me. Another thing I noticed last night is that the growth can be weird someti
Yeah, Sid Meier's Pirates remake was pretty good. When they announced Railroads, a spiritual successor to Railroad Tycoon, I was excited. It turned out to be buggy and just a big disappointment all around. It killed the opinion I held for Firaxis and Sid Meier. I am sure Civ 5 will be very good, but companies like Firaxis are also prone to disasters and debacles, and their patch and support of
They have been releasing omnibuses of their stuff. Some amazing writing there, really. None of the Legends nor Horus Heresy has been omnibused yet, but soon I hope. If you want some recommendation in the 40k and fantasy readings let me know.
Yup, tried again and it doesn't let me cast the spell. I have the brownish square where I want to target. I can raise and lower and create a mountain, but not blistering sands. :( Stupid forests are impeding the growth of a couple of key cities and I am losing a influence war with two neighbors. I am glad there is no city fliping ala Civ, but sheesh, I am losing resources and can't leave the areas because I am sorrounded. </
Wow.
I tried blistering sands in the past and it didn't let me do it. I'll try again.
I don't know if any of you are into the Warhammer Fantasy or 40k stuff, but the Black Library has some good writers in their stable. Might want to check it out.
Excellent work!
A lot of excellent ideas here.

Dynasty is in need to some love. SO much potential there. I'd like to be able to manipulate the tree so that the various offspring do not overlap. If an offspring dies, it needs a red line through the portrait, or something (maybe even a cause of death). I am trying to see now if it is worth marrying off your sons vs. daughters to see what the return on grandchildren is. Lastly, the wife of the sovreign dying stops you from marrying again, but can she be traded/divorced for more m
