Nice... I love it.. now we need more ship styles.. not just those 5... every race needs to be unique... the minors need to be able to expand.... they need unique AI.. more planet variety... etc... But damn.. I LOVE THIS GAME. Every other game I own, even on the PS2 have been put away and collecting dust for weeks now.

I have a 24" Dell FP2405s monitor.... all the Major videos stretch, such as: the intro, anomoly discovery, the colonization, the invasion, the first medium sized hull, and the story ending vids (among others). something that I haven't figuered out how to zoom in on... is the fleet manager around the planet.... on my large screen.. the tiny box in the bottom right of the panel is practically invisible at 1920x1280 resolution.... really to

+1 you have my vote.... each IP specific faction has it's own: ship style, tech tree, planet development, alignment, government, etc... etc...... I know that the makers of the game will support "us" in this project..... Even though I wouldn't know how to balance the game, or code, I wouldlove to "beta" test the hell out of it..... Oh yea.... I am so waiting for this.

I love the minor races.. more of them. They need 2-3 custom AI scripts, and they need to be able to expand and stand up for themselves..... We need Teddy Bears as well.. the Snathi are so kool, but We need the Teddy Bears.....

I LOVE THIS GAME... and I haven't experienced 1/100th of the problems discussed, and the few little things I've noticed, I could deal with... I did have a few CTD's, but I autosave every two turns, and it only happened twice... thing is... I can download on my mac... the one I am posting from.. since I use this as my net access... and my other mac's that are networked at home, but the PC has no net connection at all. SO everytime I download the patch, I will have to go through this process of registering or not? that is what I want to know.

Problem is.. this PC isn't connected to the net... never will be, and all my other computers are MAC's.. until this game came out... I haven't used a PC since 1995. I have to do everything 3rd party through my MAC's.. makes it complicated, and to top it off, my net access at home has been terrible.. I hate you Adelphia.. I hate YOU!!! I wish I was joking.

I bought the game from Bestbuy because EBGames still didn't have it two weeks after I purchased it. So, I had to download the CE content and the first patch on-line. Fine, it all worked well, and I enjoyed the game for almost two weeks. I download the full patch today, 1.0X 3/6 build...... and now I have to register the game??? huh... why? My PC will never see the on-line service, it will never be connected to the net, it is a game only machine.

+1 here for nerfing COmputer Tech Trading... totally ruined Civ 3 for me.. and made me hesitant about civ 4... Comp AI should trade techs when it makes sense... I should have as good a chance to get the tech as the next AI player... makes me do 10x the work and then get my butt handed to me...

I wish the minor civ's could expand.. and become major races.... if they survive (x=arbitrary # of turns) for a while, then they start expanding... maybe slower then the major races... at first at least.. but after some more time (y=this #), they fully gear up and go for it... I think it would make the game better (another type of AI for them... maybe 2 or 3 different one from the main 9).

I've been on this website as a lurker for the past year. I've watch and waited in anticipation for the release. I love this genre, and I can't wait. I wonder if this game will be closer to Star Trek, Star Wars, Battle Star Galactica, Babylon 5, Serenity, or one of the other popular sci-fi series.
